Melissa
I
Have Been A purple Angel
Since
July 7, 2002
My
name is Melissa aka LadyBichon. I was born and raised in
Birmingham,
Alabama, by very loving parents. They taught me well. They
taught me to
respect others, to treat people the way I would want them
to treat me in
return.
I have been married to a very loving man for 17 years. We
don't have any
children of our own, except our 2 furkids Happy &
Hannah. Oh and plenty
of nieces and nephews to spoil rotten and send
home. LOL
Our Frisekids, Happy, {my Happyboy} filled a deep
hole left in my heart
by
the passing of our first furkid. Happy is very patient
except when it
comes to his Beggin Strips. LOL He's Loves to have
his picture taken.
LOL What a little HAM he is. Just pick up a camera
and he strikes a
pose. LOL He always knows when I'm feeling down. He
comes in and kisses
my cheek then proceeds to do something that just totally
cracks me up.
We do piggy races each night. This is where I take this
squeekie pig he
brings me and sit it on the floor then slapping it so
hard it rolls down
the hall. He races with it to see who can get into the
other bedroom
first.
Hannah was a special Christmas gift, givin to us by a
couple who adopted
my us as their kids. She was born 2 days before my
birthday, and a total
surprise. She was transported to us thru a Bassett hound
rescue unit.
Amazingly when she got here I was very amazed that she
was so much like
our first bichonboy I cried when she came out of
the crate and looked
up at me with those brown eyes of hers. It was like I was
sitting there
looking at BijouBuddy all over again. She is very
smart. My hubby is
hard of hearing and when he's home alone she let's him
know when the
phone rings.
I'm a "Domestic Engineer"
and I almost love my job. I take care of
my hubby who has a Degenerative Spinal cord injury not
from an accident,
but from something called and Arachnoid Cyst that grew
inside his spinal
colum{sp}. It damaged his spinal cord. One thing I have
learned from him
is to never give up.
I love to make things with Plastic canvas and I'm also
attempting to
teach myself how to sew. Especially since I inherited my
mother's sewing
machine.
My mother sewed a lot and told me it was better for her
instead of
taking nerve medicine. I also love to play with
Paint Shop Pro in my
spare time.
I love to collect Old Cookbooks, Bichon Frise trinkets,
Angels,
refridgerator magnets, and thanks to my grandmother some
old salt and
pepper shakers.
I also have a few dolls.
My favorite things are watching Happy and Hannah
play. Hearing the
laughter of children. Spending time with my hubby,
Memories of my
parents and grandparents. Taking up time with Senior
Citizens and
listening to them tell stories of their past because they
are living
history books. I also love to try to help people when I'm
able to help
them.
My favorite quote is
Touch a Bichon,
and you have touched a bit of heaven...
Hold a Bichon,
and you have held the world...
Love a Bichon,
and you will love life forever...
