Small caliber, big impression |
Semi-Auto 22
This rifle, which has been copied many
times but never equaled has been manufactured since 1924 without interruption and has
something to please everyone:
- Operation in "blow-back" mode
(unlocked breech operation by gas)
- Automatic ejection, cocking and loading
- Loading through the stock (the magazine
tube is pulled to the rear and the cartridges are dropped one at a time into a opening in
the stock)
- Bottom ejection
- Barrel take-down with wear adjustment
- Also exists in an engraved version
Trombone Grade 4
Faced with the level of demand from
collectors, hunters and target shooting enthusiasts, Browning decided to remanufacture a
rifle that was universally admired: the Trombone .22 has always been considered the best
.22 "pump action" ever made. In addition to its attractive appearance, this
light easy to handle rifle is exceptionally safe. Indeed, the complete mechanism is
contained in the receiver which only has one opening, which serves for locking the bolt
and ejecting shells. This configuration prevents penetration of rain, dust or snow.
The rifle is cocked by a back-and-forth
sliding motion of the mobile fore-arm, which is ribbed to prevent it slipping from the
hand during reloading.
The Trombone .22 is accurate up to a
distance of 150 m and is fitted with an adjustable rearsight which allows you to easily
adjust your aim.
BL .22
The BL .22 combines the lightness and
simplicity of a .22 rifle with the speed of a lever action rifle. Its straight grip stock,
its exposed hammer and its magazine tube give it an undeniable "Far West" charm.
But the BL .22 has more than mere charm,
it also incorporates many features:
- Very short lever travel (33°)
- No risk of finger pinch during reloading,
as the trigger travels with the lever
- The possibility of mixing all types of
cartridges without risk of jamming (long, long rifle, short)
- A high level of safety provided by three
key features: 1) the fact that the ejection mechanism swings the firing mechanism aside;
2) an external hammer fitted with a semi-cocked position; 3) an inertia firing pin
