Swiss Air Force
I built my Swiss Air Force Me-109 from the Hobbycraft E-4 kit (HC 1570). I used Testor’s Modelmaster enamels and the decals came from the Aeromaster Foreign Emils set.
As with all Hobbycraft early 109’s, the kit falls together. Fit was very good and the detail wasn’t bad with nice engraved lines and a decent cockpit. The kit provides separate flaps which add a nice touch to the completed models. As far as the Aeromaster decals go, what more could be said about these products? They’re just great.
The only problem I had was making the painted neutrality
stripes match up. If only I had the vision I had when I was a kid! I had
always liked the Swiss WWII aircraft colour schemes and can’t wait to do
up a ‘G’ model to put beside it.
