TORSKDOC's SUB SITE
My name is Larry Derouin.This site is
mainly a tribute to my father, JAMES W. "BILL" Derouin ETC(SS) RET.
and the many shipmates who have ridden "boats". He spent 20 years in
the Navy from Nov. 49 to Dec. 69. Most of that time was spent on
submarines on both coasts as noted below.

After retiring from Navy he worked for Westinghouse in
various areas until he retired again in 1989. He is now active in USSVI
Chesapeake base and helps with restoration and preservation of
ex-U.S.S. Torsk (SS-423). He is married to Lois for 49 yrs. He has 5
children, 14 Grandchildren, 1 Great grandchild, soon to be 2 (Mar2004).
APRIL 1999: I was recently contacted (after 24 years) by a shipmate and
induced to post pics of Hospital Corpsmen of Naval Dispensary Treasure
Island, San Francisco. Time frame is 1974 to LATE1975 Thanks Ann! If
you were a corpsman there or know one that was there then please e-mail
me.
