El helicóptero A109KM, es el modelo para altas altitudes y altas temperaturas de operación, de la familia A109, que utilizan diferentes fuerzas armadas de muchos países. El A109KM es un helicóptero liviano, bimotor, con rotor principal totalmente articulado con palas de material compuesto, 8 plazas, potenciado por dos turbinas TURBOMECA ARRIEL-1K, con un tren de aterrizaje fijo con ruedas. Se adapta a diferentes misiones, tales como: Patrullaje y reconocimiento, Transporte, Antitanque, Ambulancia, etc.


 The A109KM helicopter is the model for high altitude and high temperature operations of the A109 family currently operated in various configurations by the Armed Forces of many countries around the world. The A109KM is a light-weight, twin engine, four composite blade fully articulated rotor, eight seat multirole helicopter powered by two TURBOMECA ARRIEL-1K1 turboshaft engines. It features a wheel type fixed landing gear to increase the crashworthiness and ease ground handling. A wide range of armament and mission equipment makes the A109KM a real multirole light helicopter able to satisfy most military requirements thus fulfiling such different missions as:

- PATROL AND RECONNAISSANCE
- ESCORT/AREA SUPPRESSION
- TRANSPORT
- LIGHT ATTACK/ANTITANK
- LIASON AND COMMAND
- MEDICAL EVACUATION
