SAVE OUR PUBLIC SERVICES (STOP P3s)

The McGuinty government has embarked on a strategy which will destroy our
public services. Experience in other countries shows that Premier
McGuinty’s plan to use public private partnerships for public services
will be devastating.

It is about treating public services as a business
where the public pays and the profiteers profit.

All of our public services and infrastructure will be negatively affected:
education and schools, health care, roads, postal service
– even meat inspection and food safety.

At the OFL Convention last November,2005 delegates unanimously endorsed the Policy Document
Public-Private Partnerships (P3s) and the Transformation of Government.

This document has an extensive action plan aimed at challenging
and defeating the McGuinty government’s plans to have many of our public services
run by profit-making private companies.
