Titled METIS, by my husband, Steve Lightle. We share a love for the rich cultures we both come from. It is a blending of Native American, French and Irish descent. This pen and ink illustration depicts to me what a Metis man is. He is free, yet answerable to his Creator. |

This is a painting I completed several years ago, during January. It was cold, ugly and lifeless outside. I missed the warm, soft breezes of the mountain tops where my family comes from. |
