Where are you from?
Mirfield, West Yorkshire

Age? (very optional!!!)
…21??..again???

Earliest memory?
Being pushed through a field in my buggy by my nana.

Favourite place?
Anywhere with my husband and/or daughter

Favourite music?
Oh dear…anything cheesy I’m afraid and I’m not scared of saying so. Want to borrow my Five Star Album?

First job?
Flipping burgers in Dewsbury (..and yes I know if things go wrong I can always go back there)

Best job?
I’ve enjoyed them all. Life is too short to not enjoy what you are doing.

Dream job?
....let’s see eh?

How did you get started in doing what you do?
Answering phones at The Pulse in Bradford and helping at outside broadcasts for Radio Leeds. A stint at AA roadwatch and Hospital Radio in Huddersfield helped too.

Best on-air moment?
Working with Tony Blackburn for a week. Surreal but fun.

Worst on-air moment (embarrassing or otherwise)?
Have you heard the one about the presenter who got a woman on air to accept her fiance’s wedding proposal only for her to tell him to eff off? ..that tape still exists somewhere and the station was only a week old at the time. Oops.

Any ambitions left?
Not really, I’ve grown so much since becoming a mum that I just want to keep on learning and being happy. A baby brings life into such perspective.

Biggest influence in your life?
My mum. If she were here now she’s be wondering why I was typing so much and not getting home to Megan and Graham. I miss her dreadfully.

Best advice that you've been given and why?
An old cliché but be yourself. Listen to everything and anyone who offers you advice but develop your own style.

Any advice for those who want to get started in radio?
Pester people until they get sick of you, get involved with Hospital radio. Believe in yourself and above all be nice to people on the way up because you might need them on the way down.
