"Packing my bag and leaving home at 4years of age after
my mother told me off. Got all the way to the bus stop."
Favourite place? "Italy, Rome"
Favourite music? "All sorts, Jazz, classical, pop"
Any special qualifications/achievements that you're proud of?
"Programme I used to present on was nominated for a BAFTA
Scotland Award"
First job? "Paper round"
Best job? "Every job I've had has been the best job at that time"
Dream job? "To present on GMTV or This Morning."
How did you get started in doing what you do?
"By blagging my way into the industry"
How long ago? "Got into TV in 1997"
Describe a typical working day (if there is such a thing!)
"Get up 2.45 am. Drive an hour to work, present the new, back in car,
another's hour drive home, then off to the gym, home for lunch and my
bed, up at 2.00pm do the house work, 6.30pm make dinner for my partner
and I, watch TV, then in bed by 8.00pm. Very glamorous. Don't get
jealous"
Any ambitions left?
"Far too many to mention. Would love to have a child one day"
Biggest influence in your life? "My mother"
Best advice that you've been given and why?
"Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer.
It speaks for itself really"
Any hobbies or special interests?
"I love the theatre. I've always wanted to star in a West-End musical
since I was a little girl."
Any advice for those who want to get started in broadcasting?
"When the door gets slammed in your face for the 100th
time, just knock it again."
