Ubonga Sequence Of Play
Thanks to both Jim Wright and Jere McDonough who have given
me many good
suggestions for Ubonga. Below is one of them; a sequence
of play.
Ubonga Sequence Of Play
Day One
- Organize Work Details
- Organize Exploration Mission Parties
- Check For Mission Events, Roll 1D6 - 1 or 2 equals an
Event.
- Organize Mission Event Parties
Days Two Through Six
(Note: Mission Parties that are in
the field will
use this sequence for Day One also.)
- Mission Parties
- Determine Weather if more than 6 squares from base.
Roll D10.
- Determine Rain. Roll D20.
- Move MIssion Party.
- Determine unknown square's terrain. Roll D8 twice.
- Determine if a stream is in the square. Roll D10.
- Determine if a trail is in the square. Roll D10
- Determine if a wilderness encounter occurs. Roll D6 - a
"1" equals an
encounter.
- Resolve wilderness encounter.
- Determine if natives are encountered. D10
- Resolve native encounter.
- If in Target Square, resolve the mission.
- Determine hunting results Roll D6. A roll of "6" may
trigger a hunting
encounter, Roll D6 - a 1 or 2 equals encounter.
- Resolve hunting encounters.
- Determine theft results.
- Determine Sickness from Heat.
- Determine Sickness from Rain.
- Determine Food Shortage results.
- Record Supply Usage.
- Base Camp
- Determine Weather. Roll D10.
- Determine Rain. Roll D20.
- Determine Work Day Results.
- Determine hunting results Roll D6. A roll of "6" may
trigger a hunting
encounter, Roll D6 - a 1 or 2 equals encounter.
- Resolve hunting encounters.
- Determine theft results.
- Determine Sickness from Heat.
- Determine Sickness from Rain.
- Determine Food Shortage results.
- Record Supply Usage.
