Reedy Antiques
Glenn Reedy made this cedar chest when he was in his Villa Grove High School industrial arts class in 1930.  It has not had any restoration done to it
This plate rack started its life as a magazine rack in 'old Doc TAylors' office waiting room.  When he retired in the 1960s, he gave two of them to Glenn Reedy.  Glenn stored them in his barn.  Janice Sutton retrieved them and restored them.  They are inverted to hold plates.  Jim Reedy has the remaining rack.
This table was a wedding present to Esther Loy Reedy's grandmother.  We are not sure if it was Grandmother Loy or Grandmother Harmison.  Esther had it for several years.  It was in pieces.  Janice Reedy Sutton was given the pieces and after saving them for several years, she had the table reconstructed and finished in 1998.  The finisher told her it was called a 'Friday table" because it was constructed from several different kinds of wood.  The wood was left at the end of the week from several other projects and used to construct the table.  We have dated the table at about 1887. (the date of Grandmother Harmison's wedding)
