Hi, my name is Catherine Vardi and I live in Paris,
France. To find me try

I earn my living at the
Conseil Economique
et Social.
Here I am with Richard Moon in San Quentin prison, in California, September 2003.
In September 2005, I was finally able to visit Troy. It was a very emotional, since we finally met after 5 years of writing to each other. I plan to go back to Texas this December 2005 to visit him once more. Here is a picture from that visit:

My passion is my husband, the mathematician Ilan
Here he is being "funky". I met him here, rue Mazarine, in the heart of Paris, on the enchanted evening of Sunday, August 20, 2000.
Now, we both live here together with Linux and
Hedwig, Chilly Willy,
and Sofia, Olivia, Daffy, Pollux, Garfield, Bullwinkle and Jeanne, who's been with me since the start.
Linux tried to understand the
subtleties of Go.
Here they are all together contemplating Linux' amazing success
More recently, Linux has been having deep thoughts which he is recording on his deep thoughts page. Go there and hear Linux speak!!
October 2005:
Linux joins Alcoholics Anonymous
August 2004: Chilly Willy gets married!!
September 2004: Linux is the star of
Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco! Here are the
pictures.
You can drop Linux a line by sending him mail to linux.vardi@laposte.net
November 27, 2004: We adopt
Hedwige a West Highland White Terrier!! Read all about
her here.
Let's not forget my lovely Mum, who was with me even before that.
and my best friends since High School: Olivier Chaumelle AKA Chauvier, Bruno Fuligni (ex-roomate) and Helene,
We spent our X-mas Holidays in Malta. Here I am boarding the plane.
Check out all my pictures from the trip!
Our latest trip was to London. Here I am with Chilly Willy, on my way in the Eurostar star train through the Chunnel.
Check out all the pictures from the trip!
We also went to see the start of the Paris-Nice bike race where we had brushes with greatness.
Check out the pictures and to find out who is that mysterious man talking on his mobile phone.
Al Capone by
Prince Buster.
which I heard on the TV movie
US Go Home and which I had never been able to find otherwise,
despite years of searching Parisian record shops.
I like to relax by watching "trash" TV shows like
Star Academy
and
The Maury Show , whenever I'm in North America.
Speaking of which, on my last trip to Montreal, I really
got into Bowling.
However, I was
disappointed to find out that bowling in Paris is
not up to the
high standard I found in Montreal.
It will come as no surprise then, that my favorite
episode
of
The Simpsons is Life on the Fast Lane
in which Marge meets Jacques,
a suave bowling
instructor from France. The
Season 1 DVD,
has outtakes
revealing that
Jacques
is on the run because he killed a prize horse
in Hershey, PA. Oh my, I just figured out who Albert
Einstein really is!
If you're one of those people who doesn't consider bowling
to be a sport, then, you will be pleased to
learn that I've recently taken up
roller skating. Every weekend, my husband and
I explore the Paris suburbs on our skates.
This has given us new insight on the
ubiquity of cobblestones
in France.
If you've made it this far, then you are ready to
discover my world of
femmes fatales.
Of course, no list of femmes fatales would be complete without
Tura Satana, dark heroine of the
legendary Russ Meyer masterpiece
Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill!
which features three lethal females!
Diana Rigg, best known for her role
of
Emma Peel in the
The Avengers. I own the
16 DVD's containing all her Avengers episodes.
Of course, femmes fatales by themselves are
no good, so it's a lot more fun when they're surrounded
by a cast of Nogoodniks
Take Charlotte Rampling, for example
She was much more more fatale
with
Dirk Bogarde
to kick around.
