11-11-02: This day 1970, record hi at Albany= 65, record lo= 15 in 1956. 1994 first overall freeze, with 25 at the "farm." Yesterday, 11/10, NWS hi= 66 @ 1924, lo= 52 @ 0600. Avg.=59, normal is 41. Real spring-like day, again! 14% sunshine.
11-12-02: This day, 1976, record lo set @ 15 at Albany; 1997, farm was 20 in AM. Yesterday, 11/11, new record hi at Albany with 70 at 1203 hrs., lo was 46 @ 2400. Avg. temp. 58, whereas normal is 41! Glorious!
11-13-02: This day, 1981, record low at Albany= 13, with 18 here; 1998, "cloudless nite sky filled w/ bright stars-truly spectacular! (2100)." Yesterday, 11/12, NWS hi= 49, lo= 44,w/ no sunshine & lite rain early P.M.
11-14-02: This day, 1972, 17" snow at Albany, all time record early snow; 1973, 73 degrees for recrd hi at A.; 1975, 3" snow at farm; 1986, NWS low =12, tying 1971 record lo; 1996, also tied record lo, w/ 14 at farm; 1997, pond frozen over, with 10-12" snow here and 8.7" at Albany. Special historical comment: In 1900 Watertown, NY, east of Lake Ontario, had 45" of snow in 24 hours. (I was there in 1950s w/ snow banks 10')

11-19-02: This day, 1972, NWS record lo= 12; 1986, pond froze over & 5" snow at farm; 2000, first overall killing freeze at farm with 24 deg. reading & skim ice on marsh. Yesterday, 11/18, NWS hi= 39@1900, lo= 33 at 0700. 4.5" wet, heavy snow at farm by 0900. Nasty day thereafter with rain and light snow off/on all day.
11-20-02: This day, 1985, new record hi= 70, which was topped in 1991 by a NWS reading of 72. 1986, record lo at Albany= 6; 1987 must have been OK, however- we harvested lettuce and dug lily bulbs. Yesterday, 11/19, NWS hi=39@2330, with lo= 34@0800. Fourth consecutive sunless day! No precipitation, however.
11-21-02: This day, 1999, 55 deg. at farm; btfl, sunny day. Yesterday, 11/20, NWS hi= 49@1540, lo= 31 @ 2330hrs. Finally, a day with sunshine at 70% of possible ("PPS"). Grnd fog early AM. Btfl full moon rise ENE.
11-22-02: This day, 1969, NWS record lo= 9; 1978, pond frozen over. Yesterday, 11/21, Albany hi= 46@1715 lo= 28@0330. Another sunless day, but still warm. Light rain 1500 hrs into evening. More to come, apparently.
11-23-02: This day, 1972 {again}, lo= 5 for Albany record; 1979, hi= 67, for 2nd highest this day; 1989, pond frozen over. Yesterday, 11/22, NWS hi= 45@1530, lo= 37@0650; zero% sunshine again; hvy shower 1430.
11-24-02: This day and tomorrow, 1950, "Great Appalachian Storm" occurred, with 7.71" rain at Slide Mtn. (Catskills), NY, and 20" snow central NY; 83 mph wind at Albany on 25th-highest ever; NYC recorded 93 mph
More recently, 1979, 69 at Albany for record hi; 1994, lo= 11 for record; 2000, new record lo at 7 degrees, with pond frozen over for the winter. Yesterday, 11/23, NWS hi= 42@0020, lo= 31@1020hrs. Very windy.
11-25-02: This day, 1970, pond frozen over; 1971 record November snow storm at Albany w/ 22.5", pond frozen over; 1981, pond frozen over; 1990, NWS hi= 62 for new record; 2001, new record hi at 64 degrees. Yesterday, 11/24, Albany hi= 44@1345, lo= 35@0100, only 7% of possible sunshine ("PPS" in future). Albany has had 4.59" H2O in Nov., farm= 4.90". Normal to date= 3.23. Spillway running heavy; beavers frustrated!
