The world comes to Hamilton in 2003

Now the 2002 RR is over, the world comes to Hamilton in 2003. But I can't find out anything about how -- or if -- it is being organized. The Hamilton2003 website has only maps and no other available info. The only guys working on Hamilton in the CCA office is Pierre and he's in Europe right now, hopefully learning how a world championship is run.

I know the first Hamilton organizing body folded up in the summer when the governments were holding back grants. Now Ontario's come through with less than was expected (maybe Cam Jackson ate the rest).

To make a long story short: is Canadian cycling in danger of looking like a bunch of rubes in the eyes of the world's elite cyclists? It's less than a year until the 2003 worlds. Is that enough time to run a first-class show? Should they bring in the folks who ran the 2001 women's World Cup race in Montreal, which UCI nominated as the greatest event of that season?

I'm going to write a story on the Hamilton situation in a few days, and could use some comments from real riders with real ambitions to race for Canada.
