Cyclists are not in key organizational positions

It amazes me that cyclists are not in key organizational positions for this event from the get go! And only one at present time. There are many cyclists who have organized events of this type and know the problems all too well with organizing such an event especially in Canada. Why are they not in these positions? Someone (the only one on the committee right now) has got to make a few phonecalls and get them involved now. They are the technical experts and have been there before. Facing some of these very same problems. Many times.

The CCA (Pierre Hutsebaut) is handling the technical end of things. Read the report card in Daily News. Steve Bauer consulted on the course as well. The rest? Well, there are lots of chances for cyclists to take on positions in the ranks of volunteers. Go to the www.hamilton2003.com website and sign up.

Buddy get with the program. You are obviously not aware of who is involved.

Thank goodness this report card is not "expectations" based like the ones Ontario Public Schools have. A good mark for effort is not allowed any more. It was a good synopsis however, and points out that the situation is not as bad as some think. The legacy in Hamilton may end up being the many children in our area turned on to cycling as Pierre H. pointed out at one of the public meetings.
PS-Producing steel is part of what Hamilton is. I would be disapointed if the TV coverage did not capture the magnitude of Hamiltons contribution to the world wide need for it. Thank you Dofasco Steel for signing on as a sponsor.
