ERIK PETERSON

Flawless Sabrina called me last month and ask me to come and see the works of Erik Peterson (he already had invited me) that were going to be exhibited in his divine upper east side apartment. There were a lot of collage, prints and self portraits among other works of Peterson.     Erik is a mixed-media artist with strong Dada tradition influences. I was particularly interested in the collage books(there were 3). They told a history, of him, his friends, the world, in different languages, it was a beautiful combination of personal feelings and a strange perception of life. I had to get one and I love it.      Also very strong was the sexual theme in a big portion of the works, which I believe had the perfect balance of colors with maybe the intention to send a personal message.
