IRVINE RUSK

Irvine and Rita Rusk are the husband and wife team from Glasgow who have become renowned  for their dramatic creations - choreography, lighting and musicbeing  skifully used to emphasise those exotic hairstyle when on show.  The models resemble creatures from the fauvist and expressionist paintings of Matisse and Kirchner ;  all the styles use their own hair,  without any resort to wigs or hairpieces. At an international show in London they exhibited a style called - butterfly - It was a hairtyle of enchanting originality which caught the attention and admiration of the hairdressing beau monde.  It also caused disquiet , even alarm, among some London and European stylists who hitherto could not place Scotland on the map.
