Hey guys!!  Welcome to the February issue of the Game of Life.. ON TIME at that!!  =)  (Well, alot closer to on time than usual anyway!!)  Aren'tcha proud of me???  LOL!   February has always been one of my favorite months (and NOT just cause its my birth month, mind you!! <g>).

February is pretty much known as the month of love, so it makes for a good time to consider the Love of all Loves and how He loves and cherishes each of us, and the price He paid to demonstrate that love.  This "Valentine Season" be not only thankful for those He gave you to love, but remember to tell Him that you love Him.
I love you, Jesus.  =)

I had planned to put the finishing touches on this issue last night (Jan 31) and send it out... I wasn't counting on getting sick, lol.  I've been dodging that flu "epidemic" (surely seems like one around here) for the past 3 months.  I don't have the flu (I'm still refusing to get that <g>).  <~~ At least I don't THINK I have that... sheesh!!  I will finish this up (between naps and meds, lol) and send it out.  =)

I want to say a very big THANK YOU for all of the birthday wishes that are pouring into my e-mailbox.  =)  Y'all are very sweet and thoughtful.  It'll probably take all week or longer to read them, lol.

"Everyone hears what you say.
Friends listen to what you say.
Best friends listen to what you don't say."
(From Happy Thoughts/Jsattele)

On February 3rd, 9 years ago, Shannon and I became best friends. (We've been friends a total of 17 years) We have since designated February 3 every year as Best Friend Day.
Soooo.....  HAPPY BEST FRIENDS DAY Shannon!!!!!
I love ya girl!!  Thank you for being there for me and knowing me sometimes better than I know myself!

Just prior to sending this out, I found out some sad news.  A good friend of mine, Leslie, shared with me that her boyfriend Charles' mother has passed away.  =(  Both Charles and Leslie were very close to her.  Please keep Leslie and Charles in your thoughts and prayers.

In HIS Love, Christy

Back At One

Its undeniable
That we should be together
Its unbelievable
How I used to say that I'd fall never

Basics you need to know
If you don't know just how I feel
Let me show you now that I'm for real

If all things in time, time will reveal

One, you're like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl its plain to see that you're the only one for me
And four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I'll start back at one

It's so incredible
The way things work themselves out
And all emotional
What you know and what its all about
And undesirable for us to be apart
I never would have made it very far
Cause you know you hold the keys to my heart

Cause one, you're like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl its plain to see that you're the only one for me
And four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I'll start back at one

Say farewell to the darkened night
I've seen the coming of the sun
I feel like a little child who's life has just begun
You came and breathed new life into this lonely heart of mine
You threw out the lifeline just in the nick of time

One, you're like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl its plain to see that you're the only one for me
And four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I'll start back at one

You're like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl its plain to see that you're the only one for me
And four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I'll start back at one

February's Angel

The angel of February
is the angel of patience.
During the dark
blustery nights of February,
when nature is in a deep chill
and we long for a sign
of warmth and life,
this angel can help us learn
to await with grace the first signs
of spring.
February's angel teaches us
that winter has it's own special peace,
that being snowbound
or staying indoors
can be a welcome respite
from the busyness of life.
In February,
we can complete unfinished projects
and prepare for new initiatives
in the spring.
February's angel brings us
the gift of patience,
helping us to enjoy the solitude
and quietness of the winter,
guiding us to replenish
our energy for the warm,
busy days ahead.

LOVE IS.....
Love is something to share with a wonderful person.
And once its there, you've got to make it last.
Love isn't something to be taken for granted.

It's something to be nurtured and cared for and caressed.
Love can last forever... if you want it to.
Love isn't tough and tentative;
it's wonderful and gentle and tender.
Love is mysterious, but it asks that you keep no secrets.

Love is blind, but it asks that you see how happy it can make you.
Love is more like a flower than a tree;
the wrong things can hurt it so easily.
But the right things can make it more
beautiful than anything else your life has ever known.
Love is something to be treated as the
best of all blessings, and as your own
little miracle that will keep corning true
... as long as you want it to.

10 Major Points for Long Lasting Relationships

1) Attraction - Physical, mental, Spiritual & Economic.
2) Practicality -
How much attraction is needed for you on a 1-10 scale to be satisfied?  Be practical.
3) Projection -
Understand that people project unreal images of themselves when you first meet them. Time will tell you the truth.
4) Performance -
Time will tell you whether this person is for real or just a big lie by what they do.
5) Acceptance - Now you're halfway there. Are you attracted? Is it practical? Are you past projection? If so, are you satisfied with their performance? If not, move on. If you are, it's time to get serious.
6) Compromise -
give and take. We can do this now, but not until you accept your partner as is.
7) Futurizing -
You must verbalize future plans together with this person. This is a must! DO NOT assume things!
8) S-N-T - (Spending Nothing Time)
Are you at peace with your friend when there is nothing to do?  IF NOT. You may have problems later.
9) Bonding
- And the preacher says, "For richer or for poorer, and until death do we part!"   But do you really believe in bonding? Seriously!
10) Old & Gray -
Can you and your mate see yourselves sitting in two rocking chairs on the front porch with gray hair and no teeth, drinking lemonade? Yes or No

From the book Sweet St. Louis by Omar Tyree

Five Relationship Keys

1. Be aware of yourself -- know yourself.
2.
Share feelings with one another. Remember that feelings are neither right nor wrong. They just are.
3.
Reduce stress in your marriage by not nagging each other. Action speaks louder than words.
4.
Work together to get things done around the house. Share the sense of power and accomplishment. Avoid power struggles.
5.
Let some things go. Your spouse will learn from the natural/logical consequences of his/her actions. For example, too much reminding interferes with the ability to remember important dates like anniversaries and birthdays.

TODAY'S TIP: PLAYING IN THE SNOW--HOW TO STAY SAFE
--written by Barbara Self

It's wintertime once again, and for many children that means playing in the snow. Your child probably gets excited with the first snowflake  that hits the ground. Playing in the snow can be a great amount of fun  for kids (and adults), but safety should always be the major focus.

Here are some tips for playing in the snow:
- Be sure your kids are dressed properly. Layer their clothing to
maximize the warmth. Gloves and hats are very important, and they need to stay on. (Wool or polypropylene are very good at keeping the heat in and the cold out.)
- If the temperatures are below freezing, limit the time outside. It
may be best to just keep your children indoors when the temperatures are that cold.
- Know where they are playing at all times.
- Keep them away from lakes and ponds.
- Discourage snowball fights.

Let your children have some fun, but keep them safe. For kids who
rarely see snow, safety is of even greater concern.

All I really need to know about Life,
I learned from Noah's Ark:

(1) Don't miss the boat.
(2) Don't forget we're all in the same boat.
(3) Plan ahead-it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
(4) Stay fit-when you're 600 years old someone might ask you to do something really big.
(5) Don't listen to critics, just get on with what has to be done.
(6) For safety's sake travel in pairs.
(7) Two heads are better than one.
(8) Build your future on high ground.
(9) Speed isn't always an advantage, after all, the snails were on the
same ark with the cheetahs.
(10) When you're stressed, float awhile.
(11) Remember the ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic was built by professionals.
(12) Remember that the woodpeckers inside are a larger threat than the storm outside.
(13) No matter what the storm, when God is with you, there's a rainbow waiting.

Carried Away
George Strait
(Written by: Steve Bogard/Jeff Stevens)

I don't take my whiskey to extremes
Don't believe in chasing crazy dreams
My feet are planted firmly on the ground
But Darlin' when you come around

I get carried away by the look
By the light in your eyes

Before I even realize the ride I'm on
Baby, I'm long gone
I get carried away
Nothing matters but being with you
Like a feather flying high up in the sky on a windy day
I get carried away

It might seem like an ordinary night
Same ol' stars
Same ol' moon up high
But when I see you standing at your door
Nothing's ordinary anymore

I get carried away by the look
By the light in your eyes

Before I even realize the ride I'm on
Baby, I'm long gone
I get carried away
Nothing matters but being with you
Like a feather flying high up in the sky on a windy day
I get carried away

Why is it called the "French" kiss?
The term French kiss came into the English language in
1923 as a slur on the French culture, which was thought
to be overly concerned with sexual matters.
In France it is not called a French kiss;
it's called a tongue kiss or soul kissing.

Because You Loved Me (Celine Dion):
For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through, through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith cause you believed
I'm everything I am because you loved me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand, I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shinging your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

Howdy Y'all,
Ya know, people up and blame the younguns for not being able to do their cyphering and bein lazy on TV and video games and ya know whut? They is right. The way I see it teknology is the problem and it is just a ruinin all these kid's thinkin processes. When I was a kid we had 4 channels on the TV and that was how I learned my numbers. See Dad would say, "John hop up and turn the TV to channel 2". So, I would get up and go turn the TV to channel 2. Then I would go sit back down cuz dad didn't cotton to havin no kids a standin round in front of the Telebishun. Then Dad would Bellar out. "Son go turn that boob tube to channel 7" and the process would repeat itself through the channels 4 and 8.
Now, this not only taught me my numbers but it also provided me with the necessary excersise that a young boy needed. Cuz not only was I gettin up and down and trottin to the TV from the couch, but, if I was outside playin and within hollarn distance from the ouse I had strict orders to keep an ear out for Dad's voice a tellin me to turn the channel! see, Dad believed in his educatin the younguns.
I also learned other technologicul things like how to wiggle the rabbit ear anteneesand use the fine tune and color adjuster knobs. I also learned the basics of Telebishun repair and didnt have to go to ITT institute of teknology down in silsby. I knew all about takin the tubes outta the back and runnin down to the drugstore to test em and make sure they was good.
Now when I was about 10 or so Pa went and bought one of then outside antennees. Ya know the kind. The one that stuck up so far above the trailer that ya had to put a flashin red light on it to keep the airplanes from a hittin it. This really helped my younger sister out cuz with it we got 4 more channels. So, my sis actually got more cypherin skills than I did. The only problem with taht antennee wasthat it was so tall it took the signal 30 minutes to get from the top down to the TV. So, everything came in a half hour later at our house. I made more money off of pa on the football games by callin the scores. He didnt know I had me a radio with an earplug. Shhh dont tell him cuz he would be wantin the money back and thats a heap of interest he would pile up on it.
Well, I best get goin cuz I believe in educashun too and its time for me to sit down and watch tv. By the way... my kids cypherin will be much bettern mine cuz I gots me a satellite dish. Son, hop up and turn the tv to channel 963.
Y'all have a goodun,
John =)

Signs For The Stupid

Stupid people should have to wear signs that just say, "I'm
Stupid." That way you wouldn't rely on them, would you? You
wouldn't ask them anything. It would be like, "Excuse me...oops,
never mind. I didn't see your sign,"

It's like before my wife and I moved. Our house was full of
boxes and there was a U-Haul truck in our driveway. My friend
comes over and says "Hey, you moving?" "Nope. We just pack our
stuff up once or twice a week to see how many boxes it takes.
Here's your sign,"

A couple of months ago I went fishing with a buddy of mine, we
pulled his boat into the dock, I lifted up this big 'ol stringer
of bass and this idiot on the dock goes, "Hey, y'all catch all
them fish?" "Nope -Talked 'em into giving up. Here's your sign."

I was watching one of those animal shows on the Discovery
Channel. There was a guy inventing a shark bite suit. And
there's only one way to test it. "Alright Jimmy, you got that
shark suit on, it looks good... They want you to jump into this
pool of sharks, and you tell us if it hurts when they bite you."
"Well, all right, but hold my sign. I don't wanna lose it."

Last time I had a flat tire, I pulled my truck into one of those
side-of-the-road gas stations. The attendant walks out, looks at
my truck, looks at me, and I SWEAR he said, "Tire go flat?" I
couldn't resist. said, "Nope. I was driving around and those
other three just swelled right up on me. Here's your sign."

We were trying to sell our car about a year ago. A guy came over
to the house and drove the car around for about 45 minutes. We
get back to the house, he gets out of the car, reaches down and
grabs the exhaust pipe, then says, "Darn that's hot!" See? If
he'd been wearing his sign, I could have stopped him.

I learned to drive an 18 wheeler in my days of adventure.
Wouldn't ya know I misjudged the height of a bridge. The truck
got stuck and I couldn't get it out no matter how I tried. I
radioed in for help and eventually a local cop shows up to take
the report. He went through his basic questioning.. ok.. no
problem. I thought sure he was clear of needing a sign... until
he asked "So..is your truck stuck?" I couldn't help myself! I
looked at him, looked back at the rig and then back to him and

It Was
Chely Wright

I guess we guess our way through life
How many times do we really know for sure?
I was just hoping for the best
Then I woke up in those loving arms of yours

What I felt was unmistakable
When I fell for you

It was real ~ It was magic
It was calm ~ It was savage
It was cool as a breeze
It was warm to the touch
It was never enough
It was always too much
It did all the things love does
That's how I knew it was

Who thought that I could laugh so loud
Then turn around and cry so many tears
I use to have so many doubts
But one by one you made them disappear

What I found was unbelievable
But I believe its true

It was real ~ It was magic
It was calm ~ It was savage
It was cool as a breeze
It was warm to the touch
It was never enough
It was always too much
It did all the things love does
That's how I knew it was

You asked what I felt when you walked through the door
Was it fear? Was it clear?
It was all that and more

It was real ~ It was magic
It was calm ~ It was savage
It was cool as a breeze
It was warm to the touch
It was never enough
It was always too much
It did all the things love does
That's how I knew it was

That's how I knew it was

THE WILL OF GOD

The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,

Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,

Lasagne

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup onion -- chopped

1 clove garlic -- minced
1 tablespoon Parsley
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon basil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
2 cans tomato -- drained
6 ounces tomato paste
12 ounces tomato sauce
1 stick pepperoni sausage
3 eggs
3 cups Ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
3/4 cup parmesan cheese or Romano cheese
2 tablespoons parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds mozzarella cheese
10 ounces lasagna noodles

Brown meat witn onions in the olive oil. Drain off extra fat. Add next 10 ingredients (slice the pepperoni in thin slices). Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Cook noodles in large amount boiling salted water until tender. Drain. Mix eggs into the ricotta or cottage cheese. (stir in a couple of tablespoons of the spices)

In a large casserole dish or deep pan put a layer of the sauce, a layer of noodles, the cheese and egg mixture, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese then the sauce mixture again. Repeat until you are out of the noodles. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!!

NOTES : Instead of using all the different spices I just buy the spice "Italian Seasonings" and use 3 tablespoons of that

Also I buy the parmesan cheese that is mixed with Romano cheese

I like the stick pepperoni because it has more flavor. Sometimes I remove the pepperoni from the sauce before making the casserole this depends on my guests. You can leave it out completely but this is an ingredient that gives the sauce an additional flavor.

Sometimes if I have a cooking wine available I will add a cup to the sauce while it is simmering.

I have been known to simmer the sauce for 3 hours. It all depends on how much flavor you want the longer you simmer the better the taste. Also I ALWAYS make my sauce the day before I make the casserole.

So let's not rush it
Let's not jump the gun
Sometimes love is an illusion
Let's make it clear
Just so there's no confusion

It's just a crush I'm feeling
Walking on the ceiling
My whole world's upside down
It's just a crush I know it
Don't know where we're going
But I like it where we are right now
Its too soon to be too much
I'm not ready to call it love
Its just a crush, a crush

You. I like you alot.
But I'm not sure if it's meant to be or not
Yeah you could say, say we're together
But no one said a word about the word forever

It's just a crush I'm feeling
Walking on the ceiling
My whole world's upside down
It's just a crush I know it
Don't know where we're going
But I like it where we are right now
Its too soon to be too much

God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes which God gave me to hold
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black,
And all your joys in the gold."
I heeded His words, and in the two boxes
Both my joys and sorrows I stored
But though the gold became heavier each day
The black was as light as before
With curiosity, I opened the black I wanted to find out why
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole
Which my sorrows had fallen out by
I showed the hole to God, and mused aloud,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be."
He smiled a gentle smile at me."
"My child, they're all here with me."
I asked, "God, why give me the boxes,
Why the gold, and the black with the hole?"
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go."

We should consider all of our friends a blessing.

A ball is a circle, No beginning, no end.
It keeps us together Like our Circle of Friends
But the treasure inside for you to see
Is the treasure of friendship You've granted to me.
Today I pass the friendship ball to you.
Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you.....

My Best Friend
Tim McGraw

I never had no one that I could count on
I've been let down so many times
I was tired of hurting
So tired of searching
'Til you walked into my life
It was a feeling I'd never known
And for the first time I didn't feel alone

You're more than a lover
There could never be another
That makes me feel the way you do
And oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Every time I look at you
I don't know where I'd be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
You're my best friend
You're my best friend

You stand by me
And you believe in me
Like nobody ever has
When my world goes crazy
You're right there to save me
You make me see how much I have
And I still tremble when we touch
And oh the look in your eyes when we make love

You're more than a lover
There could never be another
That makes me feel the way you do
And oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Every time I look at you
I don't know where I'd be
Without you here with me

4 Rules To Love By

1. Never disparage your partner.
I find most people in relationships are usually looking to return to "that feeling" you have when you first fall in love. From my personal experience, the loss of this feeling comes from each partner losing the respect they had for the other when they first met. Remember your love will NOT be perfect, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve your respect and love. Don't try to make your partner "better." You loved them exactly the way they were when you first met them. Don't let time change that.

2. Never let your partner disparage you.
Personal integrity is valuable asset. Lose that and you lose your identity as being. Everyone deserves to be treated with value and love. If you have a partner who doesn't respect you, talk to them about it. Let them know how you feel. If it's not something they are willing to change... find someone else. It may not seem like it now but you'll be happier in the long run.

3. Keep your romance alive.
Contrary to popular opinion, romance doesn't just exist. After some period of time you do have to put in effort to keep it alive. It doesn't have to be much. In fact, the most romantic people I know just take the time to do the little things to make their partner feel special. Make a commitment to do something romantic at least every day. Remember, even taking the time to really listen to how your partner's day went can be considered romantic!

4. Always be honest.
Nothing can damage a relationship more than dishonesty, even white lies. In every case, honesty is the best policy. This also means... don't put yourself in situations you feel the need to lie about. Relationships are built on trust. Once broken it's very difficult to rebuild. Avoid, at any cost, falling into this trap.

Breathe
Faith Hill
(Written by: Billy Burnette/Bekka Bramlet/Annie Roboff)

I can feel the magic floating in the air
Being with you gets me that way
I watch the sunlight dance across your face
And I've never been this swept away
All my thoughts just seem to settle on the breeze
When I'm lying wrapped up in your arms

The whole world just fades away
The only thing I hear is the beating of your heart

I can feel you breathe
Just watching over me
And suddenly I'm melting into you
There's nothing left to prove
Baby all we need is just to be
Caught up in the touch
Slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's suppose to be?
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe

In a way I know my heart is waking up
As all the walls come tumbling down
Closer than I've ever felt before
And I know and you know
There's no need for words right now

I can feel you breathe
Just watching over me
And suddenly I'm melting into you
There's nothing left to prove
Baby all we need is just to be
Caught up in the touch
Slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's suppose to be?
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe

Caught up in the touch
Slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's suppose to be?
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe

I can feel the magic floating in the air
Being with you gets me that way

The Wedding Kiss

Your first kiss as husband and wife may be the most important public kiss you'll ever do.  Hundreds of people, scores of photographers, and the eyes of history may be upon you at that moment.  No need to worry or lose your nerve.  Take a quick look at the crowd, then kiss with these pointers in mind:

Make it a kiss for you and the guests who are watching.  The kiss should last a long time; you want to give the photographers a chance to check the exposure and click away.  Meanwhile, you're kissing away.

Men, don't be afraid to lean her back, Hollywood style.

Women, lean back like Scarlett O'Hara for a full photo.

Choose the spot for the first kiss beforehand.

No French kissing -- it doesn't show up on film and there isn't enough time to get warmed up for a French kiss.

Who hates me teaches me caution.
Who is indifferent to me teaches me self-reliance.

You're This Kind of Beautiful

You have the kind of qualities and characteristics
that make people around you glad you're in their
world. You have the kind of character that
reaches out to others to make the world a better
and more beautiful place in which to live. Your
beauty is not consumed with its own needs and
prejudices but finds satisfaction in giving hope
and acceptance and approval to others. It is an
internal, soothing kind of beauty that activates
the love and appreciation mechanisms in other
people, making it easier for everyone to live
together. Your're this kind of beautiful.

You're the kind of beautiful that doesn't change
with the weather or a crisis in life. It is a kind of
beauty that provides light in the world for others
to use to guide themselves out of difficult
circumstances. Although its glow may dim at
times when presented with a new challenge, yours
is the kind of beauty that will survive the hard
places in life, allowing you to learn from them.
It will sustain you. You have this kind of beauty.

This kind of beautiful comes from the heart and is
powered by a love for others, a desire to be good,
to do good, to help and not hurt anyone. It's easy
for someone to enhance their appearance on the
outside, but to be beautiful inside means reaching
out to others with kindness and thoughtfulness
and generosity. It is wanting the best for
everyone, not just for yourself. It has to do with
compassion. That's the way you are. That's the
kind of beauty you have.

Being this kind of beautiful allows you to identify
with other people's shortcomings in life. This
kind of beautiful knows that you must be able to
love, forgive, and accept others, or your beauty
will lose its essence and its gift, which is the
desire to love.

This kind of beauty is soft and easy to be around.
It gives more than it takes. It doesn't judge others
harshly. It's not egotistical or proud. It doesn't
try to change others. It accepts. It shows itself
with open arms, not clenched fists; with smiles;
not frowns; with joy and laughter, not negativity
and reprimands. Being this kind of beautiful is
contagious; it lifts others up to accept themselves
and to experience their own gift of beauty. Being
this kind of beautiful makes others glad to be
alive and to know you. You're this kind of
beautiful. Thank you for your wonderful example.

Could Not Ask For More

Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything to me
These are the moments I know heaven must exist
These are the moments I know all I need is this
I have all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more

I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
Every prayer has been answered
Every dream I have's come true
And right here in this moment is right where I'm meant to be
Here with you here with me
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've got all I've wanted for
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more than the love you give me
'Coz it's all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more

Everytime our eyes meet
This feeling inside me
Is almost more than I can take
Baby, when you touch me
I can feel how much you love me
And it just blows me away
I've never been this close to anyone or anything
I can hear your thoughts
I can see your dreams

I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do

Baby, I'm amazed by you

The smell of your skin
The taste of your kiss
The way you whisper in the dark
Your hair all around me
Baby, you surround me
You touch every place in my heart
Oh it feels like the first time everytime
I want to spend the whole night in your eyes

I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better

Love Can Build A Bridge
The Judds

I'd gladly walk across the desert
With no shoes upon my feet
To share with you the last bite of bread i had to eat
I would swim out to save you
In your sea of broken dreams
When all your hopes are sinking
Let me show you what love means

Love can build a bridge
Between your heart and mine
Love can build a bridge
Don't you think it's time
Don't you think it's time

I would whisper love so loudly
Every heart would understand
That love and only love can join the tribes of man
I would give my heart's desire so that you might see
The first step is to realize
That it all begins with you and me

Love can build a bridge
Between your heart and mine
Love can build a bridge
Don't you think it's time
Don't you think it's time

When we stand together
Oh it's our finest hour
We can do anything, anything
If we keep believing in the power of love

Love can build a bridge
Between your heart and mine
Love can build a bridge
Don't you think it's time
Don't you think it's time

It's our finest hour
We can do anything, anything

HIS HEART'S DESIRE

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his
desire to become a great writer.

When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff
that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react
to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream,
cry, howl in pain and anger!"

He now works for Microsoft, writing error messages.

I Can Love You Like That
John Michael Montgomery

They read you Cinderella
You hoped it would come true
That one day your Prince Charming
Would come rescue you
You like romantic movies
You never will forget
The way you felt when Romeo kissed Juliet

All this time that you've been waiting
You don't have to wait no more

I can love you like that
I would make you my world
Move heaven and earth
If you were my girl
I would give you my heart
Be all  that you need
Show you you're everything that's precious to me
If you give me a chance
I can love you like that

I never make a promise I don't intend to keep
So when I say forever, forever's what I mean
I'm no Casanova but I swear this much is true
I'll be holding nothing back when it comes to you
You dream of love that's everlasting
Well baby open up your eyes

I can love you like that
I would make you my world
Move heaven and earth
If you were my girl
I would give you my heart
Be all  that you need
Show you you're everything that's precious to me
If you give me a chance
I can love you like that

If you want tenderness - I've got tenderness
And I see through to the heart of you
If you want a man who understands
You don't have to look very far

I can love you, I can
I can love you like that
I would make you my world
Move heaven and earth
If you were my girl
I would give you my heart
Be all that you need
Show you you're everything that's precious to me
I can love you like that
I would make you my world
Move heaven and earth
If you were my girl
I would give you my heart
Be all that you need
Show you you're everything that's precious to me
I can love you like that

I've Learned

I've learned - that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned - that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I've learned - that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned - that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned - that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned - that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned - that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned - that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I've learned - that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned - that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned - that some members of your family may not always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.

I've learned - that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned - that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned - that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned - that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned - that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned - that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I've learned - that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I've learned - that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned - that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I've learned - that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I've learned - that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned - that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

Cowboy, Take Me Away
The Dixie Chicks

I said I want to touch the earth
I wanna break it in my hands
I wanna grow something wild and unruly
I want to sleep on the hard ground
In the comfort of your arms

On a pillow of blue bonnets
And a blanket made of stars

Oh it sounds so good to me

I said cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can into the wild blue
Set me free, oh I pray
Closer to heaven above and closer to you
Closer to you

I want to walk and not run
I want to skip and not fall
I want to look at the horizon
And not see a building standing tall
I wanna be the only one for miles and miles
Except for maybe you and your simple smile

Oh it sounds good to me
Yes it sounds good to me

Cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can into the wild blue
Set me free, oh I pray
Closer to heaven above and closer to you
Closer to you

I said I want to touch the earth
I wanna break it in my hands
I wanna grow something wild and unruly

Oh it sounds so good to me

Cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can into the wild blue
Set me free, oh I pray
Closer to heaven above and closer to you
Closer to you

Closer to you

CLEAN BLOOD

The day is over, you are driving home. You tune in your radio. You
hear a little blurb about a little village in India where some villagers have died suddenly, strangely, of a flu that has never been seen before.

It's not influenza, but three or four fellows are dead, and it's kind of interesting.

They're sending some doctors over there to investigate it. You don't
think much about it, but on Sunday, coming home from church, you hear another radio spot. Only they say it's not three villagers, it's 30,000 villagers in the back hills of this particular area of India, and it's on TV that night. CNN runs a little blurb; people are heading there from the disease center in Atlanta because this disease strain has never been seen before.

By Monday morning when you get up, it's the lead story. For it's not
just India; it's Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and before you know it, you're hearing this story everywhere and they have coined it now as "the mystery flu". The President has made some comment that he and everyone are praying and hoping that all will go well over there. But everyone is wondering, "How are we going to contain it?" That's when the President of France makes an announcement that shocks Europe. He is closing their borders. No flights from India, Pakistan, or any of the countries where this thing has been seen.

That night you are watching a little bit of CNN before going to bed.
Your jaw hits chest when a weeping woman is translated from a French news program into English: "There's a man lying in a hospital in Paris dying of the mystery flu. It has come to Europe." Panic strikes.

As best they can tell, once you get it, you have it for a week and you
don't know it. Then you have four days of unbelievable symptoms.  Then you die.

Britain closes it's borders, but it's too late. South Hampton,
Liverpool, North Hampton, and it's Tuesday morning when the President of the United States makes the following announcement: "Due to a national security risk, all flights to and from Europe and Asia have been canceled. If your loved ones are overseas, I'm sorry. They cannot come back until we find a cure for this thing.

Within four days our nation has been plunged into an unbelievable fear.  People are selling little masks for your face. Some are talking about what if it comes to this country, and preachers on Tuesday are saying, "It's the scourge of God." It's Wednesday night and you are at a church prayer meeting when somebody runs in from the parking lot and says, "Turn on a radio, turn on a radio." While the church listens to a little transistor radio with a microphone stuck up to it, the announcement is made, "Two women are lying in a Long Island hospital dying from the mystery flu." Within hours it seems, this thing just sweeps across the country. People are working around the clock trying to find an antidote. Nothing is working. California, Oregon, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts. It's as though it's just sweeping in from the borders.

Then, all of a sudden the news comes out. The code has been broken. A cure can be found. A vaccine can be made. It's going to take the blood of somebody who hasn't been infected, and so, sure enough, all through the Midwest, through all those channels of emergency broadcasting, everyone isasked to do one simple thing: "Go to your downtown hospital and have your blood type taken. That's all we ask of you. When you hear the sirens go off in your neighborhood, please make your way quickly, quietly, and safely to the hospitals."

Sure enough, when you and your family get down there late on that
Friday night, there is a long line, and they've got nurses and doctors coming out and pricking fingers and taking blood and putting labels on it. Your spouse and your kids are out there, and they take your blood type and they say, "Wait here in the parking lot and if we call your name, you can be dismissed and go home." You stand around scared with your neighbors, wondering what in the world is going on, and that this is the end of the world. Suddenly a young man comes running out of the hospital screaming. He's yelling a name and waving a clipboard. What? He yells it again! And your son tugs on your jacket and says, "Daddy, that's me."

Before you know it, they have grabbed your boy. "Wait a minute, hold it!" And they say, "It's okay, his blood is clean. His blood is pure."  "We want to make sure he doesn't have the disease. We think he has got the right type."

Five tense minutes later, out come the doctors and nurses, crying and
hugging one another - some are even laughing. It's the first time you have seen anybody laugh in a week, and an old doctor walks up to you and says, "Thank you, sir. Your son's blood type is perfect. It's clean, it is pure, and we can make the vaccine."

As the word begins to spread all across that parking lot full of folks,
people are screaming and praying and laughing and crying. But then the gray-haired doctor pulls you and your wife aside and says, "May we see you for a moment? We didn't realize that the donor would be a minor and we need . . . we need you to sign a consent form."

You begin to sign and then you see that the number of pints of blood to be taken is empty. "H-h-h-how many pints?", you ask. And that is when the old doctor's smile fades and he says, "We had no idea it would be a little child. We weren't prepared. We need it all!"

"But -but..." "You don't understand. We are talking about the world
here. Please sign. We - we need it all -we need it all!"

"But can't you give him a transfusion?"

"If we had clean blood we would. Can you sign? Would you sign?"

In numb silence you do. Then they say, "Would you like to have a moment with him before we begin?" Can you walk back? Can you walk back to that room where he sits on a table saying, "Daddy? Mommy? What's going on?"

Can you take his hands and say, "Son, we love you, and we would never ever let anything happen to you that didn't just have to be. Do you understand that?"

When that old doctor comes back in and says, "I'm sorry, we've - we've got to get started. People all over the world are dying." Can you leave? Can you walk out while he is saying, "Dad? Mom? Why - why have you forsaken me?"

And then next week, when they have the ceremony to honor your son, and some folks sleep through it, and some folks don't even come because they go to the lake, and some folks come with a pretentious smile and just pretend to care. Would you want to jump up and say, "MY SON DIED! DON'T YOU CARE?"

Is that what God is saying?

"MY SON DIED. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE?"

"Father, seeing it from your eyes breaks our hearts. Maybe now we
can begin to comprehend the great love you have for us. Amen "

Love Remains
Collin Raye
(Written by: Tom Douglas/Jim Daddario)

We are born one fine day
Children of God on our way
Mama smiles, Daddy cries
Miracle before their eyes
They protect us til we're of age
And through it all
Love remains

Boy moves on, takes a bride
She stands faithful by his side
Tears and sweat
They build a home
And raise a family of their own
They share joy and they share pain
Through it all
Love remains

Kingdoms come and go but they don't last
Before you know, the future is the past
In spite of what's been lost or what's been gained
We are living proof that love remains

I don't know, Baby, what I'd do
On this earth without you
We all live, we all die
But the end is not goodbye
The sun comes up and seasons change
Through it all
Love remains

An eternal burning flame
Hope lives on
And love remains

Friends

Thank you for standing up with me, and
sending me the things to make me think, laugh or smile.
For when I am down it makes
the hurt go away if only for a while.

That is why friends are so dear,
just because they love you.
And always know they're there
to lend a listening ear and take away the blue.

It is also why I thank God
for the friends He sends my way.
For He knows we all need some cheer
and the support each and everyday.

So to my friends
I send a rose to you.
Because I know that you all
are my friends through and true.

In each of us is a special gift
for if we share love one another
It can surpass so much pain and fear
And give help and cheer to others.

So take this rose my friend,
and hold it close to your heart.
And always remember me,
for our hearts will never be apart.

Drift Off To Dream
Travis Tritt
(Written by: Travis Tritt/Stewart Harris)

As I sit here surrounded by people and lies
Along with my drink at the bar
You've been here forever so clear in my mind
I just don't know where you are
I know I'll find you, but girl til I do
This is my love song to you

Let's hold hands on the porch swing under the moon
While the wind through the willows plays us a tune
We can lie on a blanket out back in the yard
And wish for our future on a faraway star

And you'll feel the passion as time after time
I press your sweet lips to mine
We can dance to the radio right up til dawn

Til you drift off to dream in my arms

You might be hundreds or more miles away
Or you might be just down the street
But there'll be a hunger deep in your eyes
That I'll recognize when we meet
It might take hours or it might take years
But this is the song you will hear

Let's hold hands on the porch swing under the moon
While the wind through the willows plays us a tune
We can lie on a blanket out back in the yard
And wish for our future on a faraway star

And you'll feel the passion as time after time
I press your sweet lips to mine
We can dance to the radio right up til dawn

Til you drift off to dream in my arms

You'll feel the passion as time after time
I press your sweet lips to mine
We can dance to the radio right up til dawn

Til you drift off to dream in my arms

Today I Can....

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be
thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or I can be glad
that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and
guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was
growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that
thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark
upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout
for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly
open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or
I can feel honored because I have shelter for my mind, body and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped.
And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to me.

I get to choose what kind of day I will have!
Have a GREAT DAY, unless you have other plans.

I Love You
Martina McBride
(Written by: Tammy Hyler/Adrienne Follese/Keith Follese)

Yeah the sun is shining everyday
The clouds never get in the way for you and me

I've known you just a week or two
But baby I'm so into you I can hardly breathe

And I'm in
So totally wrapped up ~ Emotionally attracted
So physically acting ~ So recklessly I need you
So desperately sure as the sky is blue

Baby I love you ~ I love you

I never knew that I could feel like this
Can hardly wait till our next kiss
Your so cool

If I'm dreaming please don't wake me up
'Cause baby I can't get enough of what you do

And I'm in
So electrically charged up ~ Kinetically acting

Erractically need you ~ Fanatically you get to me
Magically sure as the sky is blue
Baby I love you

I can't believe that this is real
The way I feel
Baby I gone head over heels

And I'm in
So totally wrapped up ~ Emotionally attracted
So physically acting
So recklessly I need you

So desperately sure as the sky is blue
Yeah and I'm in
So electrically charged up

Kinetically acting
Erractically need you
Fanatically you get to me

Magically sure as the sky is blue
Baby I love you
Baby I love you

Do you love me too
Baby I love you

Never Been Kissed
Sherrie' Austin

If I show up ten minutes early, Baby
You can bet that you'll be running behind
But when it comes to loving me now Baby
I have to say you're right on time

I've never been kissed, never been kissed
Never been kissed like this, no.. no.. no...
I've never been touched, never been touched

Baby til I felt your touch
Your loves going to my head so fast
Just like the bubbles in a champagne glass
Now I know what I've been missing
I've never been kissed... like this
Never been kissed... like this

You're a fool for wild-eyed poetry Baby
I only like the kind that rhymes
And you're a little rough around the edges now Baby
But your kind of ventures suit me fine

I've never been kissed, never been kissed
Never been kissed like this, no.. no.. no...
I've never been touched, never been touched

Baby til I felt your touch
Your loves going to my head so fast
Just like the bubbles in a champagne glass
Now I know what I've been missing
I've never been kissed
Never been kissed... like this

This is more than temporary madness Baby
This is more than hearts just doing time
If love weren't so serious
We'd laugh about it Baby
Yeah we could laugh until we cried

I've never been kissed, never been kissed
Never been kissed like this, no.. no.. no...
I've never been touched, never been touched

Baby til I felt your touch
Your loves going to my head so fast
Just like the bubbles in a champagne glass
Now I know what I've been missing
I've never been kissed... like this
Never been kissed... like this
Never been kissed... like this
I've never been kissed
No I've never been kissed... like this

Some Things You Probably Didn't Learn In School...

1. The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time television were Fred and Wilma Flintstone.
2. Coca Cola was originally green.
3. Every day more money is printed for Monopoly than the US Treasury.
4. Men can read smaller print than women, women can hear better than men.
5. Barbie's measurements if she were life size: 39-23-33
6. Cost of raising a medium sized dog to the age of 11: $6,400.
7. Average number of people airborne over the US during any given hour: 61,000.
8. The world's youngest parents were 8 & 9 and lived in China in 1910.
9. The youngest Pope was 11 years old.
10. First novel ever written on a typewriter: Tom Sawyer
11. 111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321 (Very interesting indeed!)
12. The San Francisco Cable cars are the only mobile national monuments.
13. Each king in a deck of playing cards represents a great king from history:
Spades - King David Clubs - Alexander the Great

15. "I am." is the shortest complete sentence in the English language.
16. The term "whole 9 yards" came from WWII fighter pilots in the South Pacific. When arming their airplanes on the ground, the 50-caliber machine gun ammo belts measured exactly 27 feet. If the pilots fired all their ammo at a target, it got the "whole 9 yards."
17. The Interstate system was designed so that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies. The Intestates official name is The National Defense Highway System.
18. The cruise liner Queen Elizabeth II moves only 6" for each gallon of fuel that it burns.
19. The nursery rhyme Ring Around the Rosy is a rhyme about the bubonic plague. Infected people with the plague would get red circular sores (Ring around the Rosy...). These sores would smell very bad so people would hide flowers on their bodies in an attempt to mask the smell ("pocket full of posies..."). People who died from the plague would be burned to reduce the spread of the disease ("ashes, ashes, we all fall down").

gol022000_heart_bar.jpg (3683 bytes)

When I say..."I am a Christian"

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I was lost!"
That is why I chose this way.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are too visible
but God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved.

Tender Moment
Lee Roy Parnell

You walked in and found her with tears in her eyes
She couldn't tell you exactly why
There ain't nothing wrong but there ain't nothing right
Try to figure it out boy you're wasting your time

All it takes is a tender moment
A loving word or the touch of your hand
What she needs is a tender moment
Let her know you'll always be her man
That's the kind of thing a woman understands

It's a fast lane world that we're living in
Sometimes love takes a little talespin
But it don't take much to straighten it out
A little affection's all I'm talking about

All it takes is a tender moment
A loving word or the touch of your hand
What she needs is a tender moment
Let her know you'll always be her man
That's the kind of thing a woman understands

Everyday she needs to hear you love her so
So take the time to let her know

It ain't a brand new house
It ain't a diamond ring
Big bank accounts don't mean a thing
She's still gonna need what money can't buy
Someone to hold her when she needs to cry

All it takes is a tender moment
A loving word or the touch of your hand
What she needs is a tender moment
Let her know you'll always be her man
That's the kind of thing a woman understands

LOVE

Love is patient and kind
It is not jealous or envious
Never boastful or proud
Love is not ill mannered or selfish
Or easily angered
Love does not keep a record of wrongs,
It does not delight in evil
But rejoices with the truth
Love never gives up
It always protects
Always trusts
Always hopes
Always perseveres
Love never fails.

In The Name of Friendship

In the name of friendship,
I will tell you no lies,
I will not use or abuse you,
nor will I steal anything from you.

In the name of friendship,
I will never take you for granted,
I will never share your secrets,
nor will I ever take advantage of you.

In the name of friendship,
I will not borrow and not return,
I will not take back anything I have given you,
nor will I deny you anything I have to give.

In the name of friendship,
I will never condemn you for what you believe,
I will never treat you unjust,
nor will I condone your wrongs.

In the name of friendship,
I could never ignore your plea for help,
I could never laugh at you when you are down,
nor will I ever turn away when you are trying to help.

In the name of friendship,
I will always be just a call away,
I will always lend a listening ear,
I will always expect the same from you...

Living In A Moment
Ty Herndon
(Written by: Pat Bunch/Doug Johnson)

Well, the world just lost two lonely people
The world just lost two broken hearts

The odds were against it
But Baby here we are
In our own little place in our own little corner
This old cold world just got a little warmer
For the rest of my life I'm gonna hold you in my arms

And when they carve my stone
All they need to write on it
Is once lived a man who got all he ever wanted
Tell me something, who could ask for more
Than to be living in a moment you would die for

If I never get rich on what money can buy
It don't matter to me and I'll tell you why
I've got it all when I'm holding you this way
I'll live to love you
I'll die to keep you
Safe inside these arms that need you
I'll be loving you with the very last breath I take

And when they carve my stone
All they need to write on it
Is once lived a man who got all he ever wanted
Tell me something, who could ask for more
Than to be living in a moment you would die for

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
I'll lay beside you forever in love

And when they carve my stone
All they need to write on it
Is once lived a man who got all he ever wanted
Tell me something, who could ask for more
Than to be living in a moment
Loving every minute
Tell me something, who could ask for more
Than to be living in a moment you would die for

Happiness is a perfume which you can't pour on someone
without getting some on yourself.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Everything We Do

We may not always realize
that everything we do,
Affects not only our lives
but touches others too.

A single happy smile
can always brighten up the day,
For anyone who happens
to be passing by your way.

And a little bit of thoughtfulness
that shows someone you care,
Creates a ray of sunshine
for both of you to share.

Yes, every time you offer
someone a helping hand,
Every time you show a friend
you understand.

Every time you have a kind
and gentle word to give,
You help someone to find beauty
in this precious life we live.

For happiness brings happiness
and loving ways bring love,
And giving is the treasure
that contentment is made of.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy,
and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Will You Love Me When I'm Old?

I would ask of you, my darling,
A question soft and low,
That gives me many a heartache
As the moments come and go.
Your love I know is truthful,
But the truest love grows cold;
It is this that I would ask you:
Will you love me when I'm old?

Life's morn will soon be waning,
And its evening bells be tolled,
But my heart shall know no sadness,
If you'll love me when I'm old.

Down the stream of life together
We are sailing side by side,
Hoping some bright day to anchor
Safe beyond the surging tide.
Today our sky is cloudless,
But the night may clouds unfold;
But, though storms may gather round us,
Will you love me when I'm old?

When my hair shall shade the snowdrift,
And mine eyes shall dimmer grow,
I would lean upon some loved one,
Through the valley as I go.
I would claim of you a promise,
Worth to me a world of gold;
It is only this, my darling,
That you'll love me when I'm old.

Loved Too Much
Ty Herndon
(Written by: Don Schiltz/Billy Livsey)

You say you love me a little
You say you want to stay friends
You say you don't want no strings attached
No one on you to depend
You see love as a prison
I see love as a key
You think a little is more than enough
It's not that way for me

I need to be loved too much
I need to be held too tight
I need to hear someone say at the end of the day,
"I'll make everything right"
When the rest of the world goes home
I need to feel someone's tough
I've been alone too long
Now I need to be loved too much

Too much sun will burn you
Too much rain, you'll drown
Too much cold will freeze you
Too much wind will blow you down
But love is something different
It disregards the rules
You can call me a dreamer
But sometimes dreams come true

I need to be loved too much
I need to be held too tight
I need to hear someone say at the end of the day,
"I'll make everything right"
When the rest of the world goes home
I need to feel someone's tough
I've been alone too long
Now I need to be loved too much

So Help Me Girl
Joe Diffie
(Written by:
(Andy Spooner/Howard Perdew)

You could have kissed me like this wasn't gonna last
Kept me from sayin' something I'll never take back
You could have held me like there was no chance

Of me waking up where I am
You could have stopped short of every dream I've ever had

So help me girl, you've gone too far
It's way too late to save my heart
The way it feels each time we touch

I know I've never been so loved
And I can't help myself, so help me girl

You had to be there when that old sun came up
Makin' last night feel like a vision of things yet to come
You just had to hold me like nobody else

Now look what you've gone and done
You had to love me till I just can't get enough

So help me girl, you've gone too far
It's way too late to save my heart
The way it feels each time we touch

I know I've never been so loved
And I can't help myself, so help me girl

So help me girl, you've gone too far
It's way too late to save my heart

The way it feels each time we touch
I know I've never been so loved

And I can't help myself, so help me girl

Thank You for Today

I may never see tomorrow,
there's no written guarantee,
And things that happened yesterday,
belong to history.

I cannot predict the future,
I cannot change the past,
I have just this present moment,
I must treat it as my last.

I must use this moment wisely,
for it soon will pass away,
and be lost to me forever,
as part of yesterday.

I must exercise compassion,
help the fallen to their feet,
Be a friend unto the friendless,
make an empty life complete.

The unkind things I do today,
can never be undone,
And friendships that I fail to win,
may nevermore be won.

I may not have another chance,
on bended knee to pray,
And thank God with humble heart,
for giving me today.

you could sit with on a porch swing,
never saying a word, and then walk away

This is neat, see if you can figure it out.
The object of this exercise is to see if you can find the hidden image in the group of characters below....it takes some concentration, but it's worth it.
You'll be quite surprised when you see what it is.
