B1

The old Roxy Vibe club location has finally been reopened as an all-you-drink pub called B1. Located right in the middle of what is becoming one of Taipei's busiest night areas for foreigners, it's only 500NT$ to drink until you puke (which apparently you will). A deal when you consider that Roxy 99, which is just down the road, is charging a 200$ entry fee that only includes one drink.
Aikuo East Rd. Sec. 1, No. 71, B1, Taipei. Tel: (02) 2700 6535

Deep

A cheaper cover charge than the other outrageously expensive Taipei dance clubs make this new club the pop place to be.
Sung Chiang Rd. No. 237, B1, Taipei. Tel: (02) 2517 1100.
<>

True Trance

The latest trance disco from Dreamfields. In the style of Ibiza Cafe and the Mushroom Club before it, they're back with the same solid trance.
2F, No. 25-7 Min-Sheng E. Rd., Tel 25424180
<>

Plush

This new club sits on top of the Living Mall and charges outrageous cover charges (700NT last weekend). Right now they've got a great football pitch set up downstairs where y9ou drink Coopers beer from the 24H Watsons. I love this mall.
Ba de Rd. Sec4, #138

Poxy Vibe

Roxy is still there to give you your weekly fix of filth. At least it’s guaranteed to be full of people. The cover is 350NT and includes a drink.
JinShan S.Rd. Sec2, #155, B2

Second Floor

2F is in the same place that @live once was before it closed last year.
15 Hoping West Road, Section 1 tel 2396-3155

Texound

Damn those drugged up HK stars. It looks like Texound may be closed for the rest of the summer because of the big bust in June. Tell me if you've heard different.

Rock Candy

They still don't charge a cover charge, but most of their better DJs apparently play at Rock Candy 2 now.
#7 Lane79, Fushing S. Rd. Sec1

Rock Candy 2

?Still one of my favourites, this place never disappoints. Just don’t go there before 3AM. It’s small and packs people in, but you can always cool off on the street outside. 300NT includes a drink. You can’t go wrong.
BaDe Rd. Sec 2 #172

911
Right beside Plush at the top of The Living Mall. I don't know why you'd go to 911 with Plush right next door, but the cover charge and line up mean that somebody disagrees with me
Pateh Rd. Sec 4, No. 138, 12F, Taipei. Tel: (02) 3762 1107.

Spin

They still play Prodigy and Rage Against the Machine every time I go, but that seems to be what the crowd wants.?This place still has the busiest 7-Eleven on Saturday nights. Cover is usually 300NT on the weekends.
Hoping East Road, Section 1, #91 tel 2356-9366

TU

?One of Taipei’s most popular meatmarkets, TU is usually busy on Wednesdays and weekends and can be a lot of fun (beware of drunksleazyforeignmen with evenmoredrunksluttylocalwomen).?350NT including a drink.
FuXing South Road, Sec. 1, 249 tel 2704-7290

Zoom

?It never seems to be very busy, but it’s still a good place to meet girls with short hair and glasses on the weekends.
Hsin Hai Rd., Sec1, #5-1

Sonic Lemon

?It’s a cool club, but why does it have to be 700$? A little too much I think. Still, they have good DJs and they’re right on Chungshiao. Look for the crowds of angry looking young men outside.
The corner of YenChi Rd. and ChungShiao E. Rd.

VS

?If you’re dressed well and don’t mind buying really expensive girls, you can pick up some nice drinks here.?We thought this place was called versus for about two months, but regulars are trying to convince us it’s called Very Silly or Vacuum Space.
FuShing S. Rd. Sec2, #200

Maze

?Is this place still open? Who goes there? You’ve been warned. 500NT
#352, FuShing South Road, Sec. 1 tel 2705-8055

151

?This all-you-can-drink nightclub has the dirtiest toilet in Taipei.?And if that isn’t reason enough for going there, the beer is free all night for a 500NT cover charge ($350 during the week).?It’s bad beer, but it’s beer. They play dance pop and can get really busy with a mostly local crowd on the weekends.
ChienKwo North Road, Section 2, #65 tel 2516-1643

Room 18

?Cool club, but a little far away and a little expensive. Best staff of any club in the city though. 800NT
18 Sungshou Road tel 2345-2778

Twins

?A little too trendy, Twins packs locals in on the weekends. They still won’t let us in for free though, so I can’t say anything else. $500 including a drink.
Twins ?Tunhua S. Rd, Sec 1, 223, B2

The Source

?Source is a popular gay club for foreigners and Taiwanese. Minimum charge of $200 on the weekends.
1F, 66 Gu Lin St., 3393-1678/1789 www.gay-tw.com

Funky

?They play dance pop music and always seem busy. On the street outside they always seem to have a group of local boys that look about 12 years old.?For more gay clubs check out www.utopia-asia.com/tipstaiw.htm
B1, No. 10, Sec. 1, Hang Chou S. Road, 2394-2162/2290

Fresh

Maybe the coolest gay club in Taipei, Three floors of wall to wall fun. No cover charge, good music and friendly staff. Check out the patio on the top floor.
Just South of the intersection of Hsin Yi and JinShan South Road. Next to Yoshinoya.
<>

Y2K

?Y2K wouldn’t let me in because I’m a boy. Fight the oppression brothers.
LinSen N. Rd. Lane 133, #67, B1

Going

Enter through the back of the building on the lane. Cool place, a Funky like place only more stylish and less crowded. Young crowd and heavier but cool music.).

#9, B-1 Nanking East Road Sec.3

The Lost World

?We just found it and it closed down. The bastards. Apparently it might reopen soon (or maybe already).

Some Afterhour clubs

?If you still need to keep going you can always go to NASA.?They party there until 3pm Sunday afternoon.?Some of our friends have had bad experiences there (check out Premature Ejection on our web site), but it seemed like a cool place to me.?TG (TaiJi) is also open really .
NASA ?Corner of ChengTu Rd & KunMing St 10F (follow the bass)
TG ?Kwang Fu S. Rd. just North of Keelung

? Yes, we’re still ignoring Kiss, Ziga-Zaga, Juliana’s, etc, etc.?If there is a new club in town or an old one that needs our respect, send an email to us at the address listed below. Thanks
