U of M Fan who wants to stay anonymous.
Momma Shay has been with us for over 2 years she is a Shar Pei and Rotty mix . Someone moved and left her behind . she came to us very pregnant and starved she was here about 3 days and had 14 puppies all of them died with in two weeks, our vet felt it was something genetic . she is a nice girl but not the prettiest dog . Our volunteer Sharry has been working with her and she has learned to walk on a leash and knows sit and shake now..We are hopeful that someday she may be adopted...

Meet orphan pups Nathaniel , Norton , and Nolan they are very lucky to be SPONSORED by  Jenny
My name is Jenny B.  I live in Sand Lake (not far away).
I saw your ad for Voice of Animals in one of the
Rockford newspapers.  I had to go to your website to "dream" over the
animals you had posted.  I already have two dogs (both are mixed breeds) and a baby on the way.  This would not be a good time to adopt another dog.  But
I thought it was a very cool idea to be able to sponsor these puppies and
get updates on how they are doing.
On November 19th there was a plea to rescue some orphan pups Voice Of Animals agreed to take on 3 of them . The pups came into our rescue on 11-20-01 and were 10 days old . These puppies are 1/2 Rottweiler and 1/2 German Shepherd and will be with us for a good 10 weeks . We are very thankful that Jenny has offered to SPONSORED  these sweet little boys ..Voice Of Animals will keep Jenny up-dated on them and send her pictures .
THANK YOU JENNY ...

Meet Jordon he is very lucky to be SPONSORED by  Sheri W.
Hi Carol.  I was checking out the dogs you have.  I'd like to sponsor
Jordan.  If I had a house I'd try to adopt him.  But I don't have a house
and I'm still working long hours, so I can't have him. But I just love him.
I do have a black Cocker Spaniel named Korie, but he lives with my mom in
Oregon. I live in Grand Rapids in an apartment, so I can't have pets. I'm
saving to buy a house with a fenced backyard so I can adopt a dog from VOA.
JORDON is about 6 months old now he is a male Terrier Mix. He was rescued off Death Row when he was about 4 weeks old with 2 of his litter mates. He and his litter mates came in very ill due to no care from his irresponsible owner who allowed their dog to breed then dumped them at the dog pound when they became ill.
We would like to thank Sheri W. for SPONSORING Jordon . Voice Of Animals will keep Sheri up-dated on Jordon and send her Pictures...
Thank You Sheri W.

Littlelove was born under a car some nice people found her and her litter mates and took them to the dog pound and that is where we rescued Momma and her 4 pups. Momma was very sick when she came in our vet thought she might pull through but sadly she didn't and died a few days after. Littlelove was a bottle fed baby and is sweet as can be she was born right around July 2nd and is a Pretty Black with chocolate highlights color. Littlelove had a hard time learning to walk our vet told us she has what is called Swimmers Syndrome which means her muscles in her back legs were not strong enough to carry her body but with time and exercising she will be just fine she walks now and the older she gets the better she will walk Our vet told us that 95% of pups who get Swimmers Syndrome recover fully from it. Even when she couldn't walk she was the first one to the food dish once they started eating puppy food nothing slowed her down.
After Littlelove seeing 2 different vets and trying  many different meds Littlelove was released to Bob and Kelly to be fostered.
On 12-10-01 Bob came and picked Littlelove up to foster, He had a vet appointment all set up for her the same day. Littlelove's legs were still not as strong as they should be and she still had her skin problem. Bob's vet did a skin scraping to see what was going on with her. Nothing was learned from that. So that following Thursday they did 5 biopsies on Littlelove and it was sent to MSU. Still nothing was learned so they called in a Pathologist and a Dermatitis Specialist. They found that she has a bacterial / fungal infection that is easily treated with the right antibiotics. Now how to help her gain her muscle strength in her legs? Bob ordered a big metal watering trough for cows, he is setting it up in his heated garage so Littlelove will have a place to swim daily and exercise her legs.
Bob and Kelly are wonderful people who will foster Littlelove and sponsor her as long as it takes to get this sweet little girl healthy, happy and in her forever home.
I personally want to thank Bob and Kelly for helping me keep a promise I made to Littlelove's momma Glory the night she died, I told her to go it was all right and that I would take care her babies she closed her eyes and went peacefully to sleep.
Littlelove's vet care has been very expensive but Bob and Kelly are very committed to her at any cost.
Bob and Kelly also raise dogs for the Leader School For The Blind and do a wonderful job. What a great service they do and what wonderful caring people they are...
We will add more up-dates on Littlelove as she progresses.
