Do to popular interest I've decided to offer - in addition to my totally sprung tribal masterpieces - both a more modestly decorated version, and a natural finished version of my berimbaus - same instruments, same quality craftmenship.

Prices for berimbaus will vary depending on which style you request - its pretty straight forward: the more work involved in an instrument, the more I ask for in energetic return. So let me know your preference up front and I'll inform you as to what the order will be.

These instruments are created out of pure love to be aligned with the cosmic! Each berimbau comes complete with one of my very own handmade caxixi and all necessary playing gear. I also offer individual caxixi and reco-recos (bamboo scrapers/rasps) - and I hope to have a page up w/ photos for these instruments soon. Please contact me at info@palmaresnw.com with any questions, and I can then send you price and shipping information regarding your prospective order. Also include your zip code so I can better figure out the shipping costs for you.

Special Notes:
*So far it seems feasible to send berimbaus overseas, but the shipping may prove to cost a little more - and you'll need to send money orders in U.S. funds.

*After much research on the subject, I find that my prices are in the upper-middle range for the 'market' - I feel that I charge a more than reasonable fee for the work & energy I put into my craftwork. And besides, you know you came here for the mandinga! You know you did, admit it!

*As I have a relatively modest stock of materials at any one time, I start putting your instrument together once you've confirmed an order with me (via email). I will let you know as soon as your instrument is finished and ready to ship out. And I then ship your berimbau out to you AFTER I receive payment for it.

*Depending on my stocked materials, quantity of pending orders, and my personal schedule - it can take me three weeks or so to get a completed order out the door. Just remember, everything is made with high standards - by hand! I thank you for your patience - it will be worth it!

*Custom work on your berimbau?
Sure! for style 2 - you can choose if you want a natural finish or have your berimbau dyed with a specific color. For style 3 - if you'd like to add some basic themes and/or color schemes to your instrument's designwork, I can easily do this - HOWEVER, if you want specific & particular custom work across the board, then please consider tossing in a nice tip with your order!

*Personal checks or money orders in U.S. funds are the ticket - and I ship your order in two separate containers, making a point of packing the instruments as well as possible for their shipping journey.

*To place an order or to throw me some questions - send email to:

I look forward to making you an outrageously beautiful, uniquely magical, and awesome sounding berimbau in the near future! Take care, and Axe'!
