-UPDATE!!!!!
(aka Momma Bear's Baby Boy)
Guess who closed the #3 while still
in his teen years? Chris Comstock is now perfecting the strength
needed to close The Monster any day, any place, any
time.....

When is a picture worth a thousand words?
NOW!
Below: Closes the #2 on Feb. 24,
2003
My name is Chris Comstock, I am eighteen years old and live in St.
Albans Vermont, which is only 15 minutes from the Canadian border.
Although, I live in a small state I have the opportunity to attend
tournaments with some of the biggest names in our sport. Bill Sinks
and Karen Curavoo live in the southern part of the state. I am pretty
close to New York, so I see people like Ray Darling, Benji Dwyer,
John Ruggerio. From New Hampshire I see Harry Bean, Josh Stark and a
guy named Eric Guevin, who will be a very powerful force to reckon
with very soon.
Since I live close to Canada, I see great names like Denis Dubreil
and Paul Mauris. Just a couple weekends ago I got to see Denis
Dubreil pull Gabe Accardi at the Can-Ams. It was the first time I
ever saw Denis lose, and probably one of the best matches I have ever
seen. The great "Stormin" Norman Devio also had a great day. As for
me I have only been armwrestling for about 2 years now, with very
little success. That is okay though, I am still a newcomer and I know
it will take time and I have the patience to wait for it. Nobody wins
his or her first tournament and every time I pull I get stronger and
smarter, so with a little bit of patience I will progress.
I began arm wrestling sophomore year in high school. I have always
been a heavyset guy and although I am short at 5'9, I have a decent
set of shoulders on me. The thing that got me into armwrestling was a
good friend of mine named Steve Lareu. I always was a lot bigger than
him, I outweighed him about 2 to 1 but he would always crush me in
armwrestling. I went out on a limb and told him that by the time we
graduated I would beat him and I did. Now we train together, he is a
little ahead of me by starting to place top 4 in a couple
statetournaments. I currently am attending college at the University
of Vermont, where I am a music education major. I am lucky in that
along with school I have plenty of time to train. My gym lifts are
about average but my hands have really started to get a lot stronger,
I have closed the #2's and got the #3's to parallel a couple of
times. I am also really into the Ironmind strongman nails. I am at a
point now where I can easily bend the level three's and I am about to
order the 4's to give them a shot. Another strong point of mine are
my forearms. I have a solid 17.5" forearms that allow me to easily
curl a 80lb dumbbell.
Once again, thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity, I
tried to close those grippers for a long time, and now that I have
did it I feel it is definitely worth the time and effort.
