Indiana, folded after the season. New York and Boston folded on Oct.
27, 1978. Los Angeles disbanded on Nov. 7, followed by San Diego on
Nov. 8. New Orleans, Seattle and Anaheim also disbanded on Nov 10. San
Francisco and Phoenix were the only two teams left and subsequently the
league ceased operations, thus ending the five year run of the World
Team Tennis League. These great Tennis Players participated in the WTT at
one time or another: Bjorn Borg, Rosie Casals, Jimmy Connors, Roy Emerson,
Chris Evert, Vitas Gerulaitis, Evonne Goolagong-Cawley, Billie Jean King,
Ilie Nastase, Martina Navratilova, John Newcombe, Virginia Wade and
