Doc's Email

I did these pages as a hobby because I believed the Internet was a source of sharing information.  I also started them as part of VetteNet, which also was based on that principal, sharing and giving back to the hobby. As such, I have put together a lot of information that is available for anyone to read.

I hope you have enjoyed them and that they have helped you.

However, I have been overwhelmed with email asking for advice, help, technical information, and more. Often these continue for several emails asking for more and more advice. Many times they don't want my answers, but for me to tell them what they want to hear.  And sometimes, they get downright nasty to me in their comments.

These pages have been a hobby.  I have a full-time job and a family to support.  I do not have the free time to provide volumes of free information, and I cannot and will not take the abuse that some have given me.  This is not my job.  I have not been paid to do this.  I am not required to answer anything for anyone and certainly am not required to take written abuse.

In the future, if you wish to have additional information, I am willing to help, but now I am charging a fee.  If you go to any business for expert advice, you will receive a limited amount for free but have to begin paying for additional.  The same is true here.

If you think I have a lot of nerve, I do. I have over 30 years of experience in working on, racing, and rebuilding Corvettes. What does that Corvette shop have that you go to? Do they give you their 10 or 20 years of experience for free?

Also, at today's prices, going it alone could easily cost you $20,000 to $75,000 if you make a mistake buying a car. Suddenly, my fee doesn't seem so high, does it?

--- eBay Special ---

The best deal you will ever get around eBay. Paypal me and send the auction URL or Item number, and I'll let you know of any serious red flags. If the auction is so poor I can't tell (no pictures, poor pictures, etc.), I simply let you know and won't take your money. It is much better than buying the '63 with factory air that was built 7000 cars before the first AC car was built, or the '67 that has had the engine number change three times, or a host of other eBay "specials".

AOL Users: - Please do not bother to email me from any AOL account. AOL refuses to let me reply, rejecting mail from Yahoo accounts. If you want me to reply, you need to use some mail other than AOL. I have tried, but AOL just rejects my replies.

Sorry for this inconvenience, but you need to complain to AOL.

Free - however, if you ask any of the other categories, I will simply not answer if you haven't paid or offered to pay.

You can pay this fee by PayPal and include your question with it.  When the payment is completed, I will send an answer.  If it is something I cannot answer, I will refund the money.  I'm not in this to take your money or make a profit.  But paying separates those who really need help from those just wasting time.

Any email requesting car information that has not paid will not be acknowledged.  Sorry if this sounds rude, but those who have abused the free help have forced me to do this.
