INTRODUCTION
 ~The Unification Church has been called by some, a "Cult". It was officially founded by Sun Myung Moon in 1954 in Korea. Moon sent missionaries to America in 1959, and established his church's presence in this country in San Francisco first, quickly spreading to cover most of the nation's most populous cities.
 The symbol of The Unification Church has been compared by some to the Japanese Imperial Warflag. Moon himself designed the symbol, which is revered by members of his church, but it can still strike fear into those that have left the dangerous grasp of the Moonies. Conditioned through a very controlling environment that suffocates individuality, which Moon considers a sin, especially of Americans, it is often difficult to leave the mental programming even decades later. I have felt this fear, as have other ex-members I have known. As you peruse my website you will begin to understand more why this occurs.
~Though Moon has officially disbanded his fearful church, it still maintains a Website on the internet and offices in New York, and continues to maintain it's tax-exempt status, and all the other trimmings and conveniences that Religious Freedom in America gives. Moon has stated that the religious activities of the church will now fall under another organisation he created within the last decade. The Family Federation For World Peace, is that new group. Praised by members as providential progress, it is in fact, the same old church with a new name. And therein lies the value. The Unification Church has never shed it's horrible public image. In fact, rather than improving, it has become worse, as news from Japan emerges that Moon's Unification Church has been the target of the largest consumer fraud investigation in Japanese history! The church has lost or settled lawsuits totalling millions of dollars. Moon is wise to try and reinvent his movement yet again. But there will always be the lone crusaders, like myself, that will be there to expose Moon and his movement for what they really are, and especially, to lend a hand through critical information, to those still trapped within Moon's web.
