Tools for Sacred Spaces

Email:  crossroads_us@yahoo.com

Sacred space is essential if you are going to use the powers of the Goddess in your every day life.  It is best if you can have a room dedicated just for this purpose, barring that, you should set aside a space that no one else will enter into, or bother without your permission.

Tools:

A witches knife (athame)
A wand
A cup or bowl (or both, one for water one for salt)
A representation of the Goddess (usually a statue or sculpture)
A representation of the God (if you are going to give him equal time) -- the wand, knife, acorn, or white candle on the right side of the altar can suffice.
A Pentagram
Candles - white and black (black on the left, white on the right)

There are, of course many other objects you can empower and place on your altar or in your sacred space; hand-woven or black silk altar cloths, crystals (points or balls), shells, bells, brooms -- you name it, it can work!

Anything you can make on your own is better.  Your energy goes into the object, and it is easier to use it to exercise your will.  The next best thing is that the object is hand made rather than factory made.  Machines impart their own energy, I prefer the human equation in all my work.

If you are interested in any of the tools I have made please see the information  below.

Sculptures

Many ancient Goddess were associated with the snake.   This rather large (~20") sculpture is my Snake goddess.  She is ample and powerful.  Her snake body is her lower half, it coils back up and lays across her left shoulder. The Supplicant.  This Priestess calls upon the great Goddess to add power to her circle.  6 1/2 This group represents the Goddess in her forms of woman hood, from the child to the crone.  They range in size from 4 - 5 1/2".

she_kneels.jpg (78016 bytes)
The Watcher and the Dreamer. In ancient times a priestess would go deep into the cave and dream for you.  This was a time-honored form of divination. The Watcher is 7" the dreamer is 13" in length. She Kneels - this sculpture is around 7 inches tall.  I sculpted this one, then sliced and hollowed her out, thus there is no opening at the base.  It did cause a pressure crack at the knee, but I am well pleased with the result.

Ritual Tools
athame.jpg (61039 bytes) pentagram.jpg (10314 bytes) wands.jpg (305100 bytes)

This is a ritual knife (athame) made by my husband.  It is 7 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide (at the widest part of the blade).  I love it because of its primitive nature and simple lines

This pendant was made to my specifications by Pete Antrobus of Antrobus Designs.  I had it made in white gold with a moonstone.  The line of the heart and the pentacle is continuous (look at the larger photo).  It is so hard to find beautiful pagan jewelry, and harder still to find someone willing to make it for you.  I can't recommend Antrobus enough!

These wands are all from a sweet little apple tree that had to be removed from the property for landscaping purposes.  Not a stick was thrown away!  I have been making use of this wood ever since.

Potential Buyers!

I can REPRODUCE any of the items you see above.  They will not be exact copies (but then why would you want an exact copy!), but will be of the same style and quality.  If I get a lot of requests for the sculptures, I can make pour molds -- and create exact copies of these for a lower cost than hand building them.  These are the only items for which this process would be practical.  Please contact me for any additional information/requests.
