Guards, Co. A of the 13th Vermont Infantry.
Haynes was known for his unusual eagle
patterns. Label reads: John C. Haynes &
Co., No. 33 Court St.,
Boston.

A 16"x16" drum made by
"Ernest Vogt, manufacturer of Drums, Banjos,
Tambourines, &c. No. 225 Beaver Street,
Philadelphia, Contract, December 29, 1864." The
contract was for 2,000 regimental
drums.

artillery shell explosion at Antietam during the
