This is Betty Boop. A post on Acme Cat's Window alerted me to her. She was kept in a cage at a Vancouver Pet Store. This pet store was horrible. They sold mostly aquarium supplies, fish, mice, chincillas, birds, etc. - however they also had this white persian kitten in a cage. There was no soft place for her to sleep, a small dish half filled with water, and limited food. I took this picture of her during my visit. .

I asked a few questions, and found out she was 'on consignment'. She was previously purchased by a couple from the same store, but they couldn't keep her because of allergy problems. There was two other adult Persians wandering around the store. I found out the kitten was a product of these two. They did not look healthy. I left the pet store, but I returned the very next day. I couldn't get the image of this white kitten out of my mind. She did not belong there. I got her out of 'jail' with the thought that I would adopt her to a good home, a better home than where she was. Fortunately I was able to get her into my vet for an exam that afternoon. The doctor said she was perfectly healthy, and according to her health records, was updated on all her shots, and treatments.

I kept her in another room that day and evening. The others were curious, but really didn't care. Betty got to meet the girls, and some of my friends, and potential adopters. Everyone who saw her wanted to keep her (who wouldn't). It was difficult to decide where she would go. However, she did get along very well with Daffney, Destiny and Lilstingray, and she seemed happy -- What can I say? She stayed right here where she belongs!
