This picture of Drapers was taken from southeast of the shop.The Hope Street Bridge appears in the left center.  Draper Field and the dump are in the center near the top..The gym hadn't been built when this picture was  taken.  The old Union Church is in the middle near the right.  Isn't that the Chapel Street School near the Main Office?  E-mail me if you don't think so or if you see anything else in this or any of the pictures or stories that you think needs corrections, additions, explanations, etc.  The gym opened in 1955.  The Union Church burned on December 11, 1962.  To see this area in 1964 click here.      Draper Menu                           HOME
