The G&U Railroad    The top six pictures were taken near the G&U station behind the Hopedale Town Hall on May 8, 2008. The next two were taken on May 11. By the time I took those, a bit after noon, the car you can see on the left in the fourth from bottom photo had been chomped into scrap and most of it had been loaded into a container. When I returned late in the afternoon, the next car was gone. The picture at the bottom shows what was left of the locomotive by the evening of the 15th.    The work is being done as the railroad is preparing to operate again.
