The postcard picture at the top of the page shows the Governor Eben Draper mansion. It was built in 1885 and called The Ledges. The next two are from a 1927 article in the Architectural Forum. The lower two photos show the buildings that are on the property now. Draper died in 1914. In 1925, the mansion was razed and replaced by his son, Eben, Jr. The National Register Nomination, says that it was done by the governor's son, Bristow, but it seems that this is a mistake. At some point Bristow built a mansion called The Crossways at 105 Adin Street. He is also listed as the owner of 110 Adin Street, a smaller house with similarities to The Crossways.

The property has been owned for many years by Dr. Vincent Arone, and is operated as The Ledges, a community for developmentally disabled adults. The building shown at the bottom is also part of Dr. Arone's school. I know there's a story about it's origin, which I'll try to get and add here.
