The major part of the job was completed by the end of last week. Gerry, on the left, and Dennis, right, are packing up the tools and cleaning the shop now. (June 10) Tomorrow will be their last day here.

   An improvement over the 1842 bathroom is being installed - December 10.

   Installing the dehumidifier. This is a very important part of the project, necessary for the survival of books, pictures, files and machinery - December 11.

   A meeting to discuss progress and problems of the project has been held each Wednesday since the job began. When the weather was warmer they were held at the shop, but with the arrival of lower temperatures, they've been at the library. The group at the December 12 meeting, shown above, (left to right) includes Tom McGovern, Friends of Historic Hopedale, Steve White, Whipple Construction, Dan Malloy, Historical Commission and Friends of Historic Hopedale, Phillip Warbasse, architect, Chenot Associates, Merrily Sparling, Historical Commission chair and Friends of HH, and Gene Phillips, Hopedale town coordinator.
