.   This photo of boneset was taken a few feet from the Rustic Bridge.  It's not very common in Hopedale, although I've also seen it near the garages between Jones Road and Lower Jones Road.  Years ago people often thought a plant's appearance gave clues to its possible use.  The leaves that are opposite each other on the stem are joined at the base, which gave some the idea that it would be useful in speeding up the healing of a broken bone.                          Wildflower Menu                           Next                           HOME
