.   This little patch of goldenrod is between the parking lot at Draper Field and the bed of the old trolley tracks.  There are about seventy species of this member of the sunflower family.  Perhaps as many as ten could be found in Hopedale.  Goldenrod is not the cause of allergy problems.  It probably gets the blame for ragweed which spews its pollen into the air pretty much unnoticed at the time when goldenrod is flowering.
