Joe Pye weed grows in damp locations.  These pictures were taken in July about fifty feet from the north end of the bathhouse.  The legend of this plant says that Joe Pye, a Native American who lived in New England in the 1700s, used it to cure fevers.                             Wildflower Menu                Next                      HOME
