Milkweed can be seen in overgrowing fields and along roadsides.  I took this picture on Jones Road behind the storage garages.  Milkweed is the only food of the monarch butterfly.  It contains a substance that makes the butterflies toxic to birds.                Wildflower Menu                        NEXT                          HOME
