As I said last year, I am only one man, and can't see every film released in the year, and didn't see a lot this year anyway due to university, so here is what I thought of 2000.  If you have your own thoughts then email me at dave_or_did@yahoo.com, or post them on the guestbook.
Review of 2000
The Best
1. American Beauty
2. Being John Malkovich
3. Magnolia
4. Toy Story 2
5. Memento
6. The Insider
7. High Fidelity
8. Nurse Betty
9. Unbreakable
10. Gladiator
Films I've been told are also the best, but I haven't seen, or weren't released in the UK last year
O Brother Where Art Thou?, American Movie, Billy Elliot, Dancer in the Dark, Traffic, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Almost Famous, Wonder Boys.
Plus, films just brimming under : What Lies Beneath, American Psycho, The Green Mile, Galaxy Quest, Three Kings, The Virgin Suicides, X-Men, Any Given Sunday, Chicken Run, Sleepy Hollow.
The Worst
1. The 6th Day (oh dear, what a pile of rubbish.  Arnie really has to retire soon)
2. The Grinch (not very funny, not very heartwarming, not very good)
3. Gone in 60 Seconds (forgotten in less)
4. Titan AE (a lot of thought went into its visuals but not its plot, dialogue etc.)
5. Scary Movie (funny in bits, but a little over crude and inconsistent)
The Dissapointments (Where I expected more)
The Beach (pretty good book, why mess with it?)
Hollow Man (not nearly as good as it could have been)
Mission: Impossible 2 (good ending, bad beginning and middle)
Perfect Storm (good director and cast, bad dialogue and film)
