Lincoln Community High School is located in the Central Illinois city of Lincoln.   Lincoln was founded in 1853 and has the distinction of being the only city in the United States named in honor of our nation's 16th president prior to his national fame.  The alumni of the Class of 1956 are proud of their small town heritage.   This site is being developed to further facilitate our desire to keep "connected."

On September 15, 2001, just four days after our country's most tragic event, we met for our 45th Class Reunion.  Gathering with childhood friends was a great comfort during this time of turmoil.   We all realized just how fortunate we were to have experienced our high school days during those wonderful years of the mid-50's.   We "suffered" through Elvis, the white wash crew, basketball games, the Rec, fast dances, flat tops, white bucks and blue suede shoes, Gus's, and Riggs Drive-In.  What great "suffering"!

As this web site is being constructed, suggestions and contributions are welcome.  A directory, photos from the 50's, remembrances, and links to related sites will be the foundation of the site.  Please send e-mail addresses for posting and other contributions to:  dbjohnso13@yahoo.com
