NOTHING TO COMPARE
There's nothing
to compare with
having someone
to share with,
A moment together
a walk in the park
sittin' on a hill
listening
to the meadowlark
An empty hand
a smiling face,
A cuddle in need
a warm embrace.
A lifetime of happiness
No, there's nothing
to compare
'n God willing,
when I need sharing
Someone
like you'll be there.
I wrote this poem
to be included
in an anthology
"Cascade of Memories"
in a poetry contest
It is there under my name.
James Coombs.
