Purpose

Did you ever wonder why you were put on this planet? I sure have. Nothing ever really became crystal clear as i would try this, and try that. So I have been pretty much on auto-pilot, cruising through life. Doing whatever i could do in the meantime, until i figured it out.

Finally....the time was right, the light shown through the darkness!! I found my purpose. I am going to an awesome school, called the River Institute. I am taking a class called Launching Your Dream. It goes step-by-step in helping you find your purpose. It also helps me to learn how to dream once again, as i had basically given up, the obstacles seemed too high.

If you want something you've never had, you will do something you have never done.

What is a Dream?

What is a dream. Your dream is your calling or purpose in life. It is a passion that compels you to pursue your destiny or purpose. It is your tailor-made mission in life. It is your reason for being created, why God needed you to be here. Our dream has impact as well, as somebody is waiting on your dream to fulfill their need.

You're only one day away from fulfilling your dream!!

My Dream :)

My mission statement: I am going to impact the lives of people through comfort and encouragement, to bring about a positive change in their life.

In 2nd Corinthians, chapter 1, verses 3 and 4, it says: Praise be to our God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. (niv)

My dream is to comfort and encourage with the abilities and opportunities God has given me. Whether it be through music, as i love to sing. Or, it could be through medical care, as i have an emergency medical background. That comes in very handy on mission trips! It may be through the internet, reaching people you will never actually meet down here. I also get along with children, being a 'kewl mom', age seems to have no boundaries! It can be in going to other countries, or impacting my own community. So as you can see, there are many directions to go, and the sky is the limit!! God gives you opportunity everyday to fulfill your dream. You must learn and live for what you can imagine. Also, God will never give you a dream without the ability to fulfill it. We all know that time is short, Jesus is coming soon, so i will endeavor to use my time wisely, and not waste a single day.

My favorite word in my statement is impact. In the dictionary it says: the effect or impression or one thing on another, a collision, the force of something hitting another object. That tells me by impacting a persons life with the  gospel, we are hitting the enemy's strongholds forcefully, thereby destroying them!!

As you can see, i am well on my way to being the person that God destinated me to be from the very beginning. One important thing i have learned from my instructor, Dr.Banks, is to be above-average, and to rise to my potential.

Thank you Father God, for this knowledge, a gift more precious than silver or gold.
