Since September '94 I have owned an '87 Samurai. I haven't modified it from stock as of yet. In fact, I ran it on street tires until just last fall when I put BFG All-Terrain T/A's on. My 4x4 interests are mainly sightseeing and exploration of natural areas, and really gnarly stuff is not my ambition at this point. Maybe later on if I get a built Wrangler or Bronco I'll thrash it on the Rubicon, but for now it's just the Sammy on nondescript desert tracks.
I have made numerous day trips and several tent-camping trips with the
Sammy. I have seen some pretty wild things in the backcountry.
