Bromley Contingent SIOUXSIE |
|||||||||||||||
A member of the Bromley Contingent, the much-imitated group of original Sex Pistols' followers and audience plants. Siouxsie cemented the punk myth of "anyone can do it" by getting up on stage during the 100 Club Punk Fest and wailing through 20 minutes of "The Lordy's Prayer" with her adhoc Banshees: Steve Sevein, Marco Pirroni and Sid Vicious on drums. A more permanent Banshees were assembled by spring 1977 and, by the autumn, they became one of the best lives drows in the country. They were signed to Polydor and, from being one of the most temporary, have became, 17 hits later, the longest established of punk groups. THE FACE - 1985 |
