We meet Miss Wormwood for the first time on page 7 of Calvin and Hobbes , although we do not learn her name until later. She is in her polka-dot dress (her signature outfit) and admonishes Calvin that show-and-tell is over, and that Calvin should put his stuffed tiger away.
On page 10, she sends Spaceman Spiff to see the principle, (see illustration above)and we see Spiff's view of her as a spotted monster. The spots look strikingly like the polka-dots on Miss Wormwood's dress.
On page 13, Susie calls her by name.
