Let me explain why I put
those irritating copyright notes on my images published
online:
A fake producer of postal stamps
used my images that I had published online, for printing
a series of stamps without my consent (featured above).
The national postal service of Republique of Niger didn't
have anything to do with it. I got the hint the stamps
were actually illegally produced elsewhere and are sold
from U.K.
Most of the images are mine and stolen from my web-sites,
except the Brachiosaurus one (done by my friend
paleo-artist Brian Franczak) and the b/w ones (which I
believe belong to the Smithsonian Institution).
Any information about these stamps (if they are still
being sold) is highly appreciated (and will be kept
anonymous). Thank you!
