| WE ARE DISPLACEMENT - A 5-PIECE METAL BAND FROM BOLTON! Our music is comprised of unrelenting brutal riffs, speedy tempos and catchy melodies, brought together with an uncompromising will to speak our minds. We create an extremely energetic live show to enhnace the active and captivating music we play - each member puts as much effort into our performance as possible, we do our very best to get the audience involved and keep the atmosphere alive! We like to push ourselves and each other to the best of our musical and songwriting abilities - the result is tuneful songs that most music fans can enjoy whilst retaining a savagely raw and brutal edge. We write material that appeals to today's diverse metal audience and that we all collectively enjoy playing. Displacement formed in 2004. Since then we have come a long way as a band, establishing ourselves accross the UK as a hardworking and reliable unit. We've worked up quite a reputation for delivering a tight performance and attracted scores of dedicated fans in the process. To date we have produced four solid and well produced demos. In 2007, we distributed a promotional CD including a newly recorded song alongside tracks from previous demos and an extract from a live show. (More info available on the "Discography" page) As a band, we work well together. As much time and effort as can be found is put into the band, every member playing a role in writing new material, promotion, rehearsing, gigging, booking and recording. We also run BOLTON METAL ALLIANCE, wich is an independant organisastion in Bolton that has hosted hundreds of succesful events and attracted many established bands to play in our town.
