This is a plug-in, electrical groovy thing! Lampshade hat is made of lampshade canvas, covered in colored tissue paper, then adorned with a variety of celestial bobbles and jewels, metal & plastic, & fabric stars. Brim is white and gold plastic beaded necklace material, and painted brass dingle-balls are spaced around the bottom of the hat. Lots to look at! The wizard's head is made of clay encasing the original lamp globe--formed, carved and painted. Hair is made of twine. He sits atop a gold ceramic star.
