Baby Lips
Baby Lips was a gift to Lips, a good friend of mine who runs the Lost in Ponyland Service. She’s a baby version of Lips herself. Isn’t she cute?
Baby Lips is
by far the easiest custom I’ve done.
She started out as a Baby Stockings, so I didn’t have to dye her or
reroot her hair. As before, however,
Baby Stocking’s emblems were exceedingly difficult to remove. She had a few stains, but luckily her new
emblems covered most of these.
After
removing her emblems, I created a stencil of the L.I.P. Service logo. I saved the link graphic to my computer
(because the other one is protected!) and shrank it to the appropriate
size. I printed it up, and cut it out
with an X-acto knife. Instant
stencil! I then traced the design onto
the pony and started painting. When the
paint was almost dry, I cut the details onto the emblems using a
toothpick. After that, I painted her
eyes a darker green and touched up a scuff that was on one of them. I signed the bottom of her foot, and
viola! She was ready to go to her new
home!
