Gen.2

ROBERT LEMING Jr.

b.1757 - 1839 married ANN (UNKNOWN)

Robert Jr. was age 17 in 1774 which suggests his dob of c1757. His Will. {Westmorland Co. Probates} dated 2 Mar.1839 and probated 7 Apr. 1840 gives approximate date and death, names his wife records his children. John is mentioned first although he was probably the youngest son who remained home to look after his aging parents and as a result was to recieve the homestead. The remaining sons are listed in sequence of eldest to youngest. That would make James the eldest. He was the first to marry {1807} which would support that. The sequence of sons would appear to be as James, Robert III,Thomas, William and John. The six daughters merged with their siblings would {excepting John who was b.c1803} make a total of 10 children as per the numerical census of 1802 for Hillsborough Parish.
