Dragon Fly
What makes a Dragon fly?
What causes a Unicorn to sigh?
How did they get their majestic appeal?
Haven't seen or heard, but I know they're real.
Does a nuclear explosion create global disaster?
Is there an all powerful being or master?
These things are considered to be true.
I can't deny them, can you?
Life after death, is it reliable?
Alien abductions, are they undeniable?
There's no proof that these things exist.
As a race, we curiously persist.
So, don't tell me what's real and what's not real.
There are no guarantees, only what you can feel.
The next time you are sitting and wondering why,
There's no proof that says a Dragon can't fly.

A weightless pursuit of reverie
Gliding through cotton images
Shaping the things you wanted to see

The Albatross Dilemma
There once was an albatross flying over Chicago
He was wondering to himself, "When will all the Smoggo?"
How will he be able to pee?
The ground, he just can't see.
Understand, an albatross can't pee when he can't see the Cloggo.

An old man dies
When few realize
The death of day is night
A vanishing star
Like a cavern deep and far
Expires the brilliance of light

Infectious Little Note
Sitting in the mall with a frown on my face
I saw a small girl take a seat in this place
She sent a pleasant little smile over to me
I returned the smile just to be friendly, you see
Grabbing some crayons and with paper in hand
She wrote something down, she had her own plan
She jumped from her seat and ran out in the hall
Set the sheet on the floor, dodging people as I recall
She looked up again, winked, and was gone
I couldn't quite read what the paper was on
I thought that it must have been meant for me
As people passed by I began to see
They seemed to read and no matter what mood they were in
It turned the sad and angry folks into a sheer grin
Then like the flu, it was an infectious little note
Everyone displaying glee to one another afloat
All was good in the mall, I felt like showing it too
The joy that was inside, got rid of my blue
But what was on that note? I hurried to see
"Share a smile" it said, I guess it was for me
If that small girl, shall ever read what I wrote
Thank you so much, for your infectious little note

The Dolphins' Way, In Me
Aspirations of the living sea
The dolphins do move within me
The aura of their soul, I feel deep down
To be in the water and not on ground
Sifting through the ocean, an expressing show
Communication of a song and a blow
Protecting even those not of their kind
They ask nothing in return, they do not mind
The most gracious and unselfish of all that wander
I wish to swim with them, nothing could be fonder
The dolphins mean so much to me, you see
I need to thank them, for showing us how to be

Your Time has Come
There comes a time in every woman's life,
When the water parts and everything becomes so clear.
Sweetheart, your time has come, I can't believe it's already here.
Your face glows and your beauty is so immense.
I'll be here with you, especially when your pain becomes intense.
When I asked you to be my wife, there was no doubt or a maybe.
My love, can you believe it? We're going to have a baby!

I Once Again Escape
I step toward a whispering sound
The lack of vision impales me
The only presence I feel is my own
With crisp air, my heart pumps to be
Pondering the choice of command
Controlled by a simple distant calling
I am compelled to the noise not heard
A sense of slipping and falling
Push on and continue to move
The voice is all in all, a mere urge
With sensations of heightened excitement
My mind finds the strength, the surge
I gasp for copious amounts of oxygen
My eyes open and with a big breath
I awake from my mentally challenging dream
I once again escape the sleeping death

Your Hero
Some heroes travel to bring gifts of wonder and gold.
I bring the gift of together and growing old.
Other heroes battle monsters in glorious fight.
I compete with those things that go bump in the night.
Heroes conquer kingdoms with their incredible brawn.
I make you laugh and say something nice each day before dawn.
I may never be like those men of long ago.
But I'll always be there when you need a hero.

A soft gentle breeze
Swirls life upon the still air
It says, "Live the wind!"

I write to clear my head
I write to make it said
To organize my thought
No matter how distraught
I write of the simple and crazy
I even wrote, 'The Purple Hazy'
Describing the most sensual dreams
I love to escape in my writing it seems
I sit here pondering, all the while
Of my words, written in exile
I write all about what I am feeling
From my padded floor, walls, and ceiling
Signed: They call me, Madman

I know I can never escape
I'll never be able to leave
But turning into a Purple Haze
Will allow me to slip out and breathe
Roaming these halls undetected
A violet fog moving unseen
Not getting away but still free
Feeling like my life has meaning

We are the champions of our time
Taking all the blood, sweat, and tears
Defeating every opponent that came along
Conquering all the inner demons and fears
Victory comes to only one
We are the best in the game
To the challengers, we give our respect
To the fans, we give you the same
Standing tall as the music plays
Feeling the high from the crowd's roar
Looking back at what got us here
This is what we were fighting for
Giving our all and pouring out our hearts
Showing the world what we love to do
We worked as a team and knew it would come
Looking for this day to once be true
We are the champions of our time
