 Battle Angel
Alita stands arms crossed against a white background with blue stripes. Very nice and simple. White and blue.
 Bike
Alita the tuned agent of Zalem (That's what it is in the Japanese I don't know why the american publishes changed it) sits on her bike perched on an out cropping with smoking gun, looking royally pissed. Across the bottom is a black band with the text "Alita". This image took a lot of work in the original Alita's head and some text are imposed in the lower left corner. I was an hour of work to clean that up. All in all a good background for those who don't mind the monochrome. Black and white.
 Scapegoat
Alita, with keyboard across her back and knife and gun in hand strides away to confront Zapan. This image over an orange stripe of rock texture. Very simple but somehow compelling I've always liked it. Black, white and sepia.
 Raining
These images are from two entirely different parts of the story, but seem to go together nicely. A full image of Alita in goggles and over sized clothes looking about curiously over slightly faded panels of the scrapyard in the rain. The text read "This looks as if it won't stop". Black and white.
 Daisuke Ido
My favorite character needed a background and I quite like this one. Four overlapping bars of colour on a grey background. Each bar is part of an image of Ido. Colourful but subdued and dynamic one of my favorites. Grey, red, yellow, green, blue.
 Rocket hammer
The rocket hammer is just the coolest weapon there is. And this image needed a background. An image of Ido against a moon raising the rocket hammer and shouting belted over an orange background with a vertical bar image of Ido tugging the collar of his coat. Simple and vibrant. Orange.
 Grief
My Alita masterpiece. Although it's simple this is my favorite. Ido unshaven with his brow cut grimaces in the image belting a deep red background. In a vertical bar on the left side Alita throws her head back and howls with grief. Rich and compelling this really brightens up a computer if you want to deal with the emotion. Two of my favorite images. Red.
 Koyomi K.
There is a character like her in every manga. A slightly androgenous girl who grows up to be a real babe. This is a full image of the adult Koyomi in black and white over an orange background of her and Fury posing for a snapshot her name on a black stripe through the middle. If you like Koyomi this is the background for you. One of my favorites. Black and white on orange.
 Koyomi
Similar to the pervious background the same full image of Koyomi this time against a set of panels in pale purple concerning the doomsday canon Heng which have been reconstructed slightly. The text reads roughly "That is it" in the context of the story I would make it "It's... it's...". Black and white on lavender.
 Panels
A full screen of assorted panels with a sepia wash and the title dead center. Featuring Alita, A-10 Figure, Nova, Ido, Lou, Zapan, Kaos and Koyomi. Captures the feeling of a manga and not grey enough to be boring. This one took a lot of work construction. Text reads; Ido "Then shall we give her a new body" Figure "And why are you here?" Lou "I'm fine, but something important is happening Alita!" Yellow and white.
 Last Order
The only background from the sequel Last Order which I am not fond of. The art generally went down hill. This image however is redeeming. I've done nothing to it merely cropped it to the right size. Alita crouched predator-like on a fallen statue glaring at the viewer. I have replaced the text that read Chapter 01 (or whatever it was) with the title Battle Angel Alita, but left the original chapter title, which is in Korean. Very stark. Greys.
